We visited Beaminster today for the first time. Nice church with a friendly 'Walk in Wednesday' group. Several interesting shops. We looked at several cafes before going into Dexters on the main street just almost opposite to the square. Only small with about 8 tables but with a French bistro look.

We have tasted several of the dishes from here including Sunday lunch, all on a takeaway basis and have found every single meal full of flavour, well presented and impeccably cooked. We live in Bridport but needed to visit Beaminster so popped into Dexters at lunchtime. This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus take away!

We were treated to great, friendly service. We had lovely, freshly cooked food (Cajun chicken and steak & stilton pie...yum) which is reasonably priced.
Dogs are welcome and looked after. Our Rosie enjoyed a bit of a fuss too.
We will be stopping by again the next time we're in Beaminster.
Very friendly staff not only accommodated our late night need for French fries, but were very welcoming and friendly. They could have instead closed up and went home early, as there was not much going on in town. We’ll be back! Highly recommended!m.
