Another lovely Sunday lunch at Brassica. You can’t go wrong, the food is lovely and such good value. Every thing cooked to order, good choices of choice meat, fish or veggie. Always something different and cooked to perfection. This week I had the turbot it tasted delicious. The roast is always a winner, crispy potatoes and plenty of veg and meat on a shared platter if more than one of you. I finished with the cheese and biscuits, beautiful cheese and thin crackers with nuts and fruit, a perfect match. We eat here pretty often and I know we will be back. I recommend if you want something different, fresh cooked and very tasty. We did look at Saturdays menu while we were there and wished we eaten then as well.

I took two friends (who had previously visited Brassica and therefore recommended it) to lunch here today and was really knocked out. A particular high point was the lamb rump with hispi (sweetheart cabbage), anchovies and red onions. The lamb, whose flavour was excellent, was both rare and exquisitely tender. The use of anchovies in preparing the cabbage (which didn't, obviously, result in its tasting of anchovies!) struck me as inspirational; you would have been very happy to have eaten only that. The chilled manzanilla and rose wine that we drank were impeccable, as was the non-alcoholic rhubarb cocktail. I highly recommend a visit.

Had the loveliest of meals last night. Food was excellent - well thought out, sensibly sized menu, the most delicious things! Staff were excellent too - attentive and friendly. Restaurant ambience was warm and cosy. All in all the best meal we've had in a long time. Thank you!

Visited for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was spot on, delightful vibrant decor. Opted for the prix fixe menu at £25 for 3 courses. Great food, simple, but fresh local ingredients cooked to perfection. Great value as well. Love their shop opposite as well.

Came here for my birthday meal based on the excellent reviews on here, in the echo and various 'best restaurants in Dorset' lists online. It lived up to the hype! We had the pork and cod for mains, and gooseberry pavlova for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was excellent and it wasn't too loud or packed inside either. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely delightful dinner tonight. Pictured is the roasted peppers and tomato. Staff beyond lovely and so sweet with our two little ones. Food so tasty, fresh, and well designed. Only knocked 1* off as I do think it is a little pricey (£18 for a small veg main - I had to supplement with sides and bits off the kids' plates) but they are working on reduced staff and menu and frankly it was amazingly delicious and would definitely visit again. Big shout out to the lovely front of house.

Good food, service ok, maybe a little slow, atmosphere when we were there? Well, to be honest a bit too noisy. Overall pretty good.

We found Brassica a lovely welcoming place with good service. All dishes were excellent but our overall feeling for the prices was there simply wasn't enough quantity to the mains and no side vegetables, only fries and leaf salad on our night there. Surely a restaurant named Brassica should at least offer some brassicas or indeed any other veg as sides, if not actually built into the dishes

This is a very pleasantly appointed restaurant providing the English equivalent of french country cooking and doing it well. Reduced menu coming out of Covid, but very nicely priced and a great place to come for lunch or an evening meal.

Met up with two old friends for lunch at Brassica on a gloomy November afternoon. What an inviting place to be! We had a delicious lunch and then wandered around the many independent shops in Beaminster. A perfect afternoon! We will be back.

A wonderful, delicious mediterranean journey in the heart of Dorset. Beaminster is lucky to have such a little culinary wonder in its town. Do take a trip to this gorgeous restaurant and sample its wares. We were wonderfully taken care of and the food was delicious. There is also a great deli/mercantile shop over the road.
