The Bay Horse Inn is a great local pub serving well above average pub food. Local ingredients cooked well in good surroundings. Exactly what I was looking for and i’d be very happy to return.

Tucked away amidst idyllic landscapes, this place has the coziest vibes, complete with a stunning garden and a toasty fireplace. The food was simply phenomenal! If you appreciate high-quality meals I can't recommend it enough!

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch. The beef was superb, nice and pink with big roasties and creamy mash. Rich gravy as well as buttered carrots and cabbage came alongside. All lovely, only tiny niggle was that the veg portion was on the small side. It is not the cheapest of places but you certainly get what you pay for in terms of quality.

Really rate this place, the food is fantastic and service was so friendly and knowledgeable. She told us she had been there for 10 years. It says a lot about the owners and the business. Look forward to returning soon.

Decent , quiet country pub just south of Lancaster. Food good...cold slices of sirloin especially so. Excellent Bowland Beer. Worth the drive out of town.

We got off the M6 after being stuck in traffic for 3 hours, and were delighted to find this pretty little place. It was lunchtime on Sunday and, despite the fact that we only wanted coffee, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The coffee was good (came with hand-made chocolate truffles!), the loos were spotless, we left feeling heaps better.

Had a lovely lunch here with friends today. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The young ladies serving us were very attentive and friendly try re a credit to the owners of the Bay Horse. Absolutely brilliant gourmet pub restaurant. All food sourced from local suppliers. Three of us for a birthday dinner. Sampled duck leg.fillet steak and Goosnargh chicken breast. Not cheap but then good quality food and service shouldn't be. We will be back....oh and the sticky toffee pudding is yum!

Lovely setting, good choice on set Sunday menu. Starters lovely and roast beef nicely cooked. Roast potatoes luke warm and the portion of vegetables to share between 4 was on the skimpy side. Annoying given the location of the establishment was the lack of useable customer Wi-Fi. We as a group wanted to look at photos stored online and were unable to due the antiquated indecipherable Wi-Fi password given out on a post-it note.
