Reviews Kings Head

Last night as a family of ten we decided we would go to the Kings head to celebrate my mums birthday.. It was a lovely summers evening and very busy. We all sat down in the garden and had drinks. We hadn't booked to eat however we enquired about nibbles and we were told they were extremely busy and didn't look likely (baring in mind it was half past 8 in the evening) but that she would try her best. Thirty minutes or so later the lovely waitress appeared with this amazing sharing platter of food which was ample for the ten of us. This really rounded up our evening and we would like to applaud the staff for all their hard work and effort on an extremely busy night. After reading some of the reviews we feel the staff should have been praised a lot more. Always so friendly and caring. Such a warm and lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to many more visits.

This is the most fabulous restaurant/pub. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. The menu is extensive and the food is superb. We had a gorgeous New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. I had a home made beefburger for my main course and home made sorbet for dessert - both to die for! Highly recommended. I will be going again!

This place was recommended to my husband by some of his work colleagues so we knew (hoped) it would be good. Well it certainly didn't disappoint! We were very lucky to get in as they had just one table left. Can't complain about anything the staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and very tasty and lovely and hot and as for the desert wow! The portion sizes were more than reasonable and really I didn't need to have a desert but it was my birthday and I'd planned on going the full hog. All in all both my husband and myself were more than pleased and even though we'd travelled just under the hour to get there we will be visiting again we may even stay over night.

Had a wonderful weekend at Kings Head, lovely meal in Restraunt with family (9) all throughly enjoyed the food and service. Had a lovely night in room Kippel finished off with a great breakfast. Whole weekend experience was enjoyed by my wife Shirley, family and myself would more than throughly recommend the Kings Head to anyone looking for a enjoyable break. Just a mention for the wonderful way we were looked after by the staff well done.

Two features stick in my mind. Food Service Both were exemplary- I talk about the food below, but the staff at The Kings Head, really deserve congratulations- always smiling, always welcoming and helpful, and often amusing. It was a delight staying there.

Absolutely brilliant, excellent food, great service and a nice convenient location. It's been a while since we have been somewhere this good, no really. In a sea of chain pubs offering cheap mediocre food this is a gem, go on treat yourself you won't regret it and we for sure will be back.

After a debauched Saturday afternoon on the Norfolk Broads, our stag group of weary, bloated thirtysomethings hauled ourselves into taxis to honour our dinner reservations at this quiet and refined countryside pub, where the giant, boucle dining chairs ensconce you and prearranged food choices are hurriedly delivered to your table. The staff were warm and good-humoured in the face of their understandable bemusement at our low energy, as well as many of my friends’ inability to finish their hearty meat dishes. I, meanwhile, delighted in the beautifully presented salt-baked celeriac, accompanied by tasty celery and delicious shimeji mushrooms, and artfully sprinkled with pieces of hazelnut and fenugreek – all proudly sourced within 48.5 miles of the premises. In a weekend of chaos, the Kings Head gifted me a treasured interlude of expertly executed gastronomic joy. If I’m ever back in the area, there’s only one place I’m heading for dinner.

Also hin zur einer guten Fisch and Chips Mahlzeit. (Translated by Google) A pub with ambience. Relatively large but winding, which didn't detract from the comfort. We were there with a group and made reservations in advance, which you should definitely do. The pub is very popular and gets full even at lunchtime. The service is sometimes a bit overwhelmed and it takes longer. The food was quick and almost everything was there at the same time. Portions are very good and not just bites. Quality of the food is absolutely fine. In terms of price, the meals cost an average of €25, which is still reasonable. It's worth it, as not so many guests can make a mistake. Parking lot behind the house, relatively large but fills up quickly. Location You have to accept a bit of travel through the beautiful landscape. So head to a good fish and chips meal.

Superb pub and one of a kind. Exceptional food with locally sourced produce cooked to a high standard with the added ‘wow factor’ so many pubs fail to achieve. Been twice over the past month and both times didn’t disappoint! Had the pie of the day on both occasions and would highly recommend :)

A delightful village pub/restaurant with a lovely warm atmosphere. Staff were polite and efficient. We pre ordered the 2 course xmas menu, turkey roast and game pie followed by baileys cheesecake and sticky toffee pud. Couldn't fault the quality of food and service. Will certainly visit again!

Went for a Christmas meal with friends 8 Dec. Food, service and atmosphere was amazing. We weren't rushed at all and left very very full. Excellent value for money.
