Good sized gastro-pub with a free to use car park to the side. Large menu, great prices and decent portions. Staff were also friendly and made for an enjoyable experience. I opted for the large carvery and was handed plenty of turkey, and was able to help myself to potatoes, stuffing, and veg. Cookie dough and ice cream for dessert. First time visiting, but a pleasant surprise and will most definitely return. My only comments would be that the gravy needs to be thicker - it was like water, and the potatoes could have done with a few minutes less in the oven.

29.04.23 AMAZING! The service was absolutely fantastic, all the staff (Pete, Jackie and Millie) were so amazing at there job and more. The meals were presented so well and nicely, everything came out hot. (P.S. there were extremely helpful at moving us to a different table and finding an open window.) Thank You So Much India

The food was excellent definitely recommend the carvery as you get lovely tastes from the meat, vegetables and gravy as well as being able to choose the amount of food you put on ur plate. Had pudding as well and it was absolutely delicious couldn't of asked for it any better then what it was. The staff are so friendly and helpful, we love coming to the King's Arms

A normal staple for our family, the large pub chain now owned by stone house hosts a every day roast Buffett. Options are available for large version for an extra few quid. This gets you a sausage and some Yorkshire puddings. The meat looks fresh and there’s choice of beef, gammon and turkey. The sides however did look a little dried out as if they’d been hanging around a while. I’ve not had this before when previously visiting so might just be because of a slow day. Overall it’s not bad for the price and other menu items are available if you didnt want roast. There’s a fresh bake pizza area however I’ve not tried this but they looked good.

Booked here for family evening meal before going to Herstmonceux observatory stargazing as part of birthday present. Peter Rabbit ( his name!) was excellent. Only 8 of us as 1 daughter in law was unwell and couldn't attend. He was friendly but professional and was very helpful with the 3 grand children's meals. Nothing was too much trouble. We Milli behind the bar was brilliant as there were lots of customers that evening. Jackie also kept her eye on things.Great start to a lovely evening. Shame about our daughter in law being unwell. Keep up the good work Kings Arms!

I almost don't want to let people know about this place. It's mine and my wife's little secret breakfast club. The value for an all you can eat breakfast buffet is simply unbelievable. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Admittedly, we've only had breakfast but I'm sure the rest of the menu is equally as good. Great value for money.

We enjoyed our visit. The staff were very helpful and polite. The food was great - very hot but not over cooked like some carverys.

The carvery( I had roast turky) was delicious. You get a choice from 3 roast meats or sausages, and a good selection of veg, Yorkshire pud and crispy roast potatoes and stuffing, plus vegetarian or meat/onion gravy and condiments. We were a party 9f 3 and it was £32 including an orange juice, a coke and a lager.
