We came here for a last minute lunch (walked past the week before and I couldn't stop thinking about how good the food smelt). The food was absolutely fantastic!! We had an incredibly juicy bacon cheeseburger, dirty nachos with chilli and a kids Mac and cheese! We all left very full, very happy and in a slight food coma! The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was very friendly! Definitely recommend!!

Walked into the pub and was met by friendly members of staff. Throughout the evening the staff were very attentive, polite and helpful. Had a starter of Leak and Potato Soup with fresh bread, which was delicious, followed by a cheese burger and fries. The Cheese burger was AMAZING! I highly recommend choosing the burgers. My friend also had the burger and we both agreed it was the best burger we’ve ever had. The food was reasonably priced and the pub itself had a good atmosphere. There is no parking for the pub but we found a car park close by within walking distance.

First class service, can't be beat for the genuine welcome and friendlyness. The room and ensuite we're lovely and supplied with plenty of tea/coffee and bathroom supplies. Slept well. We were in room 2. Food was delicious that we ate at the bar and reasonably priced. The bar was full of locals who were readily willing to tell us of the history of the Inn. We had a great night out in the bar plus a live band too who were very good. No negatives at all, definitely going to return. Thank you for a great stay.

Went to the Bull for the jazz festival. Great music, very nice venue and a good layout so that all could see and hear the band (Liz Fletcher - recommended). I didn't try the food but it looked really good. Nice ale and friendly helpful staff. Shame there's no parking but there's a car park just a couple of minutes walk away. I'd definitely go back.

We booked two rooms to stay here for one night . It was such a lovely friendly place . Staff couldn't do enough . We had a 4 year old with us and they were made very welcome. The rooms were like lovely , it's and old building but the rooms has a nice character . Abbey was a couple of minutes walk , the hotel right on the hight street . The food we had for dinner was lovely. Would highly recommend this place .

Me and my wife have been for drinks several times. We recommend it for a meal and drinks with friends. Everyone loved it. We were lucky to be sitting in the fireplace, one of our party was running late and it was more frustrating for us than them. The food was lovely and we all had a great experience. We will see you again soon.

We’ve recently stayed Easter weekend for a family wedding. The location was perfect just a short walk to Battle Abbey venue so super convenient. Big, spacious and clean room. Perfect for our 4 month olds first little holiday! The service was also outstanding, Steve couldn’t do enough for us and all the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We had a beautiful cooked breakfast each day plus an evening meal. Highly recommend and thank you for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
