Customer service, greeted well, knowledgeable and helpful, kind and courteous.
Papaya Salad - Light, fragrant, good spice and well flavour, a robust mixture of combination of delightful flavours , presented well, really well made and sought.
Satay chicken - soft and light chicken , lightly seasoned, the satay sauce could have been stronger in flavour, lacked depth in peanut, the small spice could have been enhanced within it.
Salt and pepper chilli squid - lightly fried however could have done longer in the fryer, the salt chilli and pepper combo could have been stronger, lacked enough of it. Squid was fresh and vibrant, wasn’t chewy but perfectly cooked, fair sized portion.
Green Thai curry - flavourful , light, spicy and fresh, really well balanced creamy flavours which was very authentic.
Pad Thai - had all the flavours of a pad Thai, was very tasty and authentic really happy with this dish, personally I believe that iy could have been a touch spicier and a touch sweeter . But we’ll made and really happy with the taste.
Pineapple Thai rice - lacked flavour, was a rather small portion as well, could have had more of it, needed more nuts as well. I understand that presentation of Thai Orchid is focused as bowls and a smart outlook but pineapple rice is renowned to be known to severed in a pineapple, many places in Thailand and event 5 star hotels and restaurants would do the same. The dish lacked flavour.
Chill basil prawns - very well made, flavours were there and hit all the pallet. Was fragrant and spicy, prawns and veg were cooked very well, had great flavours and combinations.
Overall I would recommend Thai orchid , it is a great place to visit to enjoy authentic Thai food, it is on the rather pricier scale for what the portion size is. The flavours we done well, it is an interesting atmosphere the Resturant is, a great asset in Battle. Really enjoyed my time.

passing through this beautiful historical town ,we decided to stay the Night and go out for dinner ,and stumbled across the Thai Orchid down a side alley, in the high street a rustic old building full of charm . Having a little dog we sat within the beautiful outside garden area which had an ancient impressive Acer as the centre piece ..
we were promptly bought food and drinks menus and chatted to the owner and then his wife who is the head chef at this establishment, we asked her what recommendations she had from the extensive menu . We opted for Pad Thai / Beef In ground pepper / stir fry Prawns
Oh and of course some Thai beers & a bottle of nice wine from the good choice list, The food arrived well presented and every mouthful was packed with carefully balanced exquisite flavours . Having travelled to Thailand many times we are not novices to Thai cuisine, so can honestly say this was one of the best Thai meals we have eaten ! This restaurant is a real jewel in the crown put this place on the Top of your list to visit !!
My boyfriend and I left the house with the idea of having dinner in a nice place and looking for this place, we arrived at Battle. A few old pubs to visit but not to my taste, so I googled where the best curry is made in the area. And I came across this beautiful hidden but enchanting place. A warm welcome from them, the order was very quick and delicious. The only negative point for me is that the portions are small and you go hungry. Otherwise nothing to object.👍👍

Staff are lovely , food was good.
However we were seated towards the back on the ground floor and you have staff constantly marching past getting in and out of the kitchen and doorbell going off constantly!

We recently had dinner here whilst in Battle and can’t rate the food and service enough. Authentic Thai dishes and the outdoor seating is very cute! Owners are also very lovely

Fantastic food actually the food is second to none and the chef is very polite and sociable and the staff are absolutely marvelous toad will recommend to friends and family time regards here and colleagues

Been to eat here several times now and they have never disappointed! Tried every single one of their dishes on the menu and they've always been delicious but then, I don't expect otherwise. Staff are super friendly and even stop to get to know you when they're not rushed off their feet (including the owners!). For a place that's usually so busy, it's impressive that they keep up their standards! The atmosphere is comforting despite being so busy too. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy night out with amazing food and a lovely chat :)
