Lovely traditional pub located really in the middle of nowhere. A long winding drive, but worth the trip.

Lovely pub in the middle of nowhere, with fantastic views.
Not only was the food very tasty, but the portion sizes were like something from the good old days. I can't remember the last time I could barely move due to the satisfaction of a really decent pigout. Prices were also very reasonable.
Staff friendly and efficient - service excellent. I had roast lamb with all the trimmings, and mint sauce - the meal was just like a homemade meal. The Inn was quite crowded and everyone sounded very happy.
Had a wonderful family meal here. Food was excellent and not over priced. The staff were welcoming and always smiling, even on one of the hottest days of the year. Would definitely recommend The Ash Tree
A very friendly place with good food. We stayed over in our camping car in their car park and enjoyed the most wonderful views over woodland and countryside. A very special place.
Five hours down south and the food is worth. We were down visiting my family and we went to the Ash. Wow what a lovely pub friendly staff and a lovely pint of Harvey's, set in a superb location overlooking the countryside with the South Downs in the distance well worth a visit
