Visited here today after a recommendation from a person on the site we are staying at. Wow it did not disappoint. Lovely cafe looking over the abbey. The atmosphere and decor was inviting and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Good selection of gluten free options and great value. Will definitely recommend to others and return if we ever visit this way again.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here today. So much to eat that we ended up with a doggy bag to take home! Would definitely recommend this place for cake and lunch. Great staff, relaxed atmosphere with background music too! Will be returning very soon for more delicious cake

We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again.

We have tried several tea rooms in Battle and decided to go to Bluebells. Right from the time we walked through the door we were greeted by such friendly staff, who showed us to our table. The food was delicious, my group had Jacket potato, Welsh Rarebit they all loved it. The ploughmans I had was really nice with a tasty warm baguette. This followed by a tasty chocolate cake, Victoria sponge, Raspberry scone and bread pudding, all tasted great. We all left very happy and all think this is the best one in Battle and we look forward to returning.

We were treated to an afternoon tea for our birthdays. Fantastic tea. Lovely selection of sandwiches. Rasberry and plain scones - the best ever! Lots of cake and as we couldn't eat it all they supplied us with a box to bring home. All in all a great tea and great family service. Thank you!

Popped in after we'd walked with some wolves nearby which was a gift for my daughter's 21st Birthday. We sat in the back area which had a big birthday banner and balloons (which was for a little girl's birthday, but also a happy coincidence!) We ordered tea and sandwiches. The teapot was lovely and big and the sandwiches were accompanied by a lovely salad. The staff were lovely, wishing my daughter a happy birthday, and giving a very warm welcome and the food was superb, when we go back to Battle we will definitely be back! Excellent service, lovely food, beautiful decor, can highly recommend

Wonderful afternoon tea experience in a quaint space on Battle's high street. Hosts were friendly and service was prompt and attentive. All the food was terrific. We had two of the set teas between three of us and that was plenty!

Such a cute tea room with delicious homemade nibbles and super friendly staff! I was taken for a birthday surprise and they had laid a table out and hung a birthday banner, so considerate and sweet. All food was homemade from the mini quiche and sausage rolls to meringue, sponge and scones, and all so delicious. Highly recommend and absolutely will be back.

Beautiful quaint little tea room. Shabby chic throughout with a very relaxed and cosy feel. Directly opposite Battle Abbey. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Compliments to the chef! The sausage roll was incredible! The food was all freshly prepared and presented beautifully. We had a cream tea with a cherry and almond & fruit scone. They also welcome dogs. There's a toilet with baby changing facilities, it is outside with a few small steps, but it was incredibly clean and welcoming. The entrance is on ground level with a small step. Could easily fit a pushchair/wheelchair through. Overall the place is perfect for a light bite and somewhere to have a good natter!

Went to have afternoon tea for a good friend's big birthday. Birthday banner was hung up and we added balloons! Tea was truly wonderful. As much tea and coffee as we wanted. Sandwiches were delicate and delicious. The cakes and scones were light as a feather and really tasty. Will definitely be returning.

Immediately opposite Battle Abbey. Cosy little place with very friendly staff. I had an All Day Breakfast bap bacon, sausage and fried egg, all sourced locally. Tea comes in a pot with enough for 2 cups. 3 ladies had reserved a table for afternoon tea, they kindly allowed me to take a photo before they tucked in. Apparently the new owner took over only a couple of days before my visit. There were a couple of minor teething problems including cash only until WiFi is available. I will definitely visit again if in the area. Update, Almost a year later we revisited Bluebells. We certainly weren't disappointed. This time we had lunch. Sausage roll with salad and cheese scone tea. The scone, the sausage roll and the coleslaw are all homemade we could tell YUMMM. This tearoom serves much more than the traditional tearoom fare of cakes and scones but save room for one or both as they are homemade and delicious

I love Bluebells - I’ve visited twice now. On my first visit had the most decadent, lovely sausage roll I’ve ever eaten. On the most recent visit I ordered a scone with jam and cream. Well, I admitted to a lovely staff member that I was embarrassed at how quickly I hoovered it up. Warm, tasty, delicious. These guys really know how to cook and how to make you feel very welcome. I look forward to my next visit!

We visited this quaint little tea room on a whim after exploring Battle Abbey just across the road, and it was just wonderful! The staff were super friendly and so helpful. The design of the tearoom was so cosy and welcoming, I absolutely loved all the decor and the little touches like the flowers on the table and the China that was used. Even the music playing really just made the experience glorious. We had a cream tea for two, which was wonderful value and it was probably the best I’ve ever had! The scone was warm and tasted so fresh, along with the jam and cream it was divine. We were visiting from North Hampshire, but when in the area again I’d definitely like to try some other items they had on the menu - the cakes look so scrummy!

Lovely experience at Bluebells Tearoom. Welcoming staff, friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Dogs are welcome and our whippet was spoilt with a sausage from the lovely ladies. Not to be missed if you are in Battle ❤
