Fantastic pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonably priced beers. Close to the Rec too, so a must visit on rugby days.

Friendly pub and the food was lovely. Thought it was pretty reasonably priced, and I think you’d struggle to find any cheaper (non-chain) pubs in Bath. Definitely one to go back to if we visit Bath again.

Stopped here after seeing a pragmatic approach to the relaxing of Covid security measures. Friendly staff, good value, and great garden. Well worth a visit - off the beaten track in Bath. Much better option than several over-priced 'gastropubs'.

New landlord was really friendly, brilliant proper boozer. Hope it does well with students and sports fans. Amazing old skittle alley out the back. Nice clean pipes on the beer too!

Friendly pub serving delicous food. I had the pork belly cooked perfectly and not too fatty. A bit of a treat but well worth it.

Enjoyed the xmas menu at the bargain price of £14.50 for 3 courses. The roast potatoes and parsnips were outstanding. Plenty of it and steaming hot.

A great afternoon The weather had been rainy so me and my friend Mary decided to go to The Royal Oak .We walked into the Pub and were met by a lovely man with a big smile. We ordered a chicken burger and a plaice the food and service was great we had pudding as well .The pub was warm and welcoming we liked it so much we ordered some hot drinks as well The staff were warm and welcoming and very friendly .The people who have the pub have not been there for very long so I think with time and patience it will get better .We loved it which is why I have given it 5 stars thank you for a lovely day .
