Really beautiful building and atmosphere. The drinks were quite imaginative and the food taste really good. However, the service took quite long and two out of the three people that were at the dinner ended the night with indigestion, bloating, and cramping.
Great location and hidden gem of a restaurant, we also really love the feel of the place. The reason I'm not giving five stars is because we had to wait for 20 mins to ask for the bill. The service seemed to drop of towards the end of our dinner with one poor girl covering the whole restaurant, I now feel guilty for getting short with her. Due to services dropping off and very small tables, we ended up having to put empty glasses, etc, on the floor.
But I must say the cookie dough deserts are mega along with the cocktails.
We eat on the 6/7/23.
i came here for a girls night out with a few friends and it was such a fun experience! the drinks were all very interesting and there was a wide selection to choose from. the food we had was really great as well. we also thought the service here was exceptional, as everyone we encountered was so kind and helpful. i would highly recommend you to stop by for a visit if you’re in the area. i cannot wait to come back again for a nice cocktail in the future!
A fascinating and impressive historic space, lavishly decorated. A great place to experience. Enthusiastic and professional staff. The huge domed interior makes it a bit noisy for some tastes.
What a place! I’ve eaten at quite a few restaurants around Bath and this is by far my absolute favourite! The service was top notch with our drinks and food coming out in brilliant time. They catered for my intolerances superbly and their cocktails are the best in Bath without a doubt! I highly recommend their cauliflower wings as a starter and then their hanging kebabs, I had the vegan meatballs and upgraded my fries to sweet chilli for an extra £1 which I couldn’t recommend more! The flavours were insane. The biggest thing I was amazed by though was the decor inside, those who dine in are sat on a balcony looking down at a tree which is the bar as seen in my photos. We were also super lucky as someone was playing live music on a grand piano which made the atmosphere a 10/10. We found it hard to leave ..so much so that we went back downstairs for an extra drink! I’ll definitely be back again
Beautiful venue with a great selection of cocktails serviced by friendly and experienced bartenders. You’ll have a great time here! We came late on a Tuesday night and it was lovely.
We loved it! Surprisingly decent prices, lovely atmosphere, and the staff to match. We'll be going back soon.
Give the nduja chicken burger a go, you'll love it
Gorgeous meal here as a couple. Lovely environment and clearly good for groups (we were sat a little too close to a very noisy hen do, but we could live with it)
The menu needs to be in bigger type. I have never seen font so small, it was very difficult to read. I would suggest that you have larger menus for when needed.
Other than this, the food, the service and atmosphere was outstanding.
We absolutely loved this place. We just had our Sunday lunch together with our son and his girlfriend, both students at the University of Bath. The service was fast, very polite and efficient. Becca was a star host at our upstairs table. The food was delicious. I particularly loved the fact that the Sunday roast doesn't come completely covered with gravy as this is served separately with the vegetables. All seasoned to perfection. We got two chicken roasts, a cheeseburger, and a chicken katsu. All was very tasty and delicious. The atmosphere is unique. The space is well furnished and decorated. A little hidden gem. We will definitely come back when we visit Bath again!
The food here was insanely good. We ordered the Halloumi kebab and it was flawless, I could have ate it again. The ambience in the restaurant was really nice and chilled, the service was great and we had a great night. Would definitely recommend!
Nice bar and restaurant. It used to be a chapel and frequented by Jane Austin. Food is tasty and good value.
Came in for my daughters birthday on a weekday and they organized a special complimentary drink for her which was very kind of the staff. Great food, service and Nice atmosphere. We had a great time and will be back.
We had an amazing lunch at the botanist. My best friend and I were celebrating 23 years of friendship and Ellie and Casey kindly gave us a free glass of Prosecco to help celebrate! It was such a lovely gesture and we were so touched. All the staff were so friendly and although they were busy and it was SO hot they couldn’t have done more! Thanks all 🤩

Great spot for drinks (downstairs) and good food (upstairs) Me and my partner had a few drinks and food at Botanist. Stunning venue with a circular presence. The bar is downstairs and benefits from ordering via NFC or QR codes and you dine upstairs. I strongly advise booking as it gets busy! Table was ready bang on our booked time slot and the service was very fast. Food tasted great and it’s fairly price. Cannot complain and would recommend to others!
Amazing building, great atmosphere (music a little loud) service is ok but long waits at busy times, didn’t eat but have in the past and just ok. Well worth a few drinks if you are in the amazing city of Bath.
Cocktails are great, interior is stunning, not tried the food bit they do have vegan options so definitely will next time
Really nice big place, food was good. Would definitely go back, lots of photo opportunities. Toilets are up about 20 flights of stairs though 😳 which is a pain. But toilets are big and very clean so they win some points back for that.

Stunning building, loved the layout with all the plants. We were only in here for a quick cocktail - lots of different food and drinks on the menu, would definitely come back for more drinks, they were lovely, very delicious and moreish!
