Fabulous Sunday lunch there today. Second time there and nothing I could fault. Beef was lovely, biggest and best Yorkshire pudding ever and fab veg (cauliflower cheese was a winner). Thanks, see you again soon

Good parking, friendly staff and great food. Shame I was driving as they had a good selection of ales as well... Rod Stewarts favourite bar in Bath apparently.

We intended to visit The Weston after moving to Newbridge Road. Unfortunately, it closed soon after we did. A couple of days before our house goes its separate ways, three of us headed down to the pub for a couple of drinks. When we decided to order takeaway, the landlord was highly accommodating and we ordered a fantastic meal to the garden. The weather being fantastic certainly helped matters, but everyone we spoke to was kind and interesting. Had such a great night here.

We visited here on a Tuesday lunchtime and were delighted to discover that they serve a carvery every weekday, it was really lovely to sit down mid week and have a roast dinner which we haven’t had to prepare. The person who served us was also helpful and polite.

My partner and I went here to watch Eng vs Bel on the 28/06. First impressions were average, some parts of the pub were clearly recently renovated but others were a little drab, some of the seating for example. Anyway, it was relatively quiet and had two screens plus a vegan option (good for my partner) so we were happy to stay. The beer was fine as was the service. I was unlucky in that a couple were ahead of me but proceeded to buy a dozen drinks. Not the staffs fault mind. I was on lager and if I had one complaint, the beer was quite warm. It was a particularly hot night so I'm not sure if that had an impact on the cellar. The real star though, was the food. My partners Chickpea Hotpot was fragrant, flavourful and generously portioned. I've had half a dozen different Mushroom and Halloumi burgers but this was by far the best. We also got a portion of chips which ended up being overkill given the portion sizes. These were also great, a large portion and season with cracked pepper and sea salt. Other customers food also looked great. In short - the food was 6 out of 5. Honestly the mains could have been double the price and I'd not have felt cheated. Everything else was 3 to 4. The landlord absolutely must must must keep hold of the chef. We happily go again for food but might skip if it was just for drinks.
