Second visit to this little gem hidden away in Bath. Attentive service, great atmosphere, food was fantastic, as it was on our first visit. Thoroughly recommend this top notch Indian restaurant.
Amazing food, probably had the best Bombay potato I ever had. Keema naan bread was just how I liked it. Had a Lamb Madras for a main which was very tender and full of flavour. Staff were pleasant, the manager came over and chatted to us which was nice. Really liked the Georgian atmosphere. To top it off, this restaurant serves Bangla beer! Bath has some really good restaurants, and this is certainly one of them!
Love this place. Been going there for years even before they moved to current beautiful location. Staff always very helpful and friendly especially the two owner brothers who always know us no matter how long between visits. Good excellent and nothing too much trouble even created something mild off menu for my young granddaughter.
What a find! Thank you Eastern Eye for a wonderful dining experience. Not only was the food and wine outstanding but the service was superb. A huge thank you to the owner for making my Mum's birthday meal such a special occasion. We will be back!
Fab food and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to others.
We visit bath once a year for our annual get away. We always visit eastern eye. It's absolutely awesome great food fantastic atmosphere excellent customer service. Highly recommended
Awesome food, great service. The restaurant is a fantastic room, although some of the tables are quite close together.
Excellent food served very quickly by very friendly staff! Will definitely be back!
Fantastic food and superb Georgian building to enjoy it in. Will be back without a doubt.
I went here for a Saturday lunch. The interiors of the restaurant were quite impressive with a beautiful ceiling and paintings on the side walls. I ordered chilli Garlic chicken johari with chapatti as I preferred a hot gravy and this dish was recommended by the staff. The dish was quite delicious and satisfied my cravings for Indian food.
The restaurant was good. I'd say it was a value for money. Food was good in taste and fresh. We ordered for some prawn dish. The prawn were really fresh and tasty.
This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Town. The staff is very caring and warm. They helped us a lot to choose the best preparations.
The owner has to redesign the interior though. The decoration was not at all good and needs immediate attention.
The setting is perfect.... Old Georgian House, decorated ornately.... A little too much I should think.... The food is good... Bengali and North Indian Fare mainly. The 3 courses set meals are as good as it gets....
If you are lusting for Indian amidst the very Georgian Bath... Head to Eastern Eye... You won't regret it.
Beautiful restaurant with a very good menu including both the classics and a few specialities which added variety. Staff were really helpful, food arrived in good time and was excellent. Decent portions (too much for us) but really tasty and well prepared.
The restaurant is worth a visit just to see the space, it is marvelous. Also the Cobra was perfect too!
Had a lovely meal here. Went here once six years ago and I remembered it being excellent, and I'm pleased to have found that it still is. Kind and helpful staff, fast service, plentiful food. Next time I'm in Bath I'll be going here again!
I totally loved the experience of being at this place. The food is good along with some good atmosphere.
Certainly a place to take those you are hoping to impress, you head upstairs into a feast for all the senses, lovely smells, great tastes, beautiful murals, and pleasant music. I had the Lamb Shank, and loved it but everyone loved what they had and went home full and happy. Bellies full of spices and heads primed to rest upon their pillows and dream sweet dreams of India.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Bath. I have been twice now and had positives experiences on both occasions. The restaurant is very impressive and unique in terms of its styling and the sheer size of it. It can get very, very busy, particularly when Bath rugby are playing at home. However, there were plenty of attentive staff during both of my visits. Drinks selection is some of the best I’ve seen at an Indian restaurant. The bar is absolutely huge. The food is very nice, as some other have mentioned, portion sizes are relatively small compared to other restaurants I’ve eaten at, but it’s perfectly acceptable. Staff are really nice. Toilets are clean, but like other have also mentioned, it would benefit from a refresh and some new carpet on the stairs which look really worn. All in all though, a really good experience and I recommend the Grand Eastern.
Nice and tasty food we enjoyed eating here. Mixed tandoori grill was a good dish to start with. Staffs are so kind and helpful.
Do yourself a favour and walk up the stairs to this magnificent Indian Restaurant...beautiful decor, beautiful food and atmosphere
You will not be disappointed...a must do when visiting Bath
CELEBRITIES love the food here and so do we!! Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage, Mr. Bean... you name it! So DELICIOUS & AMAZING😍 !!
Their original Garlic Chilli Zohary is the BEST curry we have ever eaten.
A MUST-GO restaurant in Bath!👍💕
Ai love this place. Always good food and service and not expensive. It's solid. Never disappoints. Great dining room too!! Not at all what you'd expect from the entrance
