Congratulations to chef & owner for beautiful scrumptious fish & chips with minted peas. Great menu, delightful hospitality & will definately return soon.
Christmas menu looks amazing.
Really nice,welcoming and attentive staff.
Had a best tagine ever.
Great walks from this pub if want to work in a stroll,or cycle ride around your meal( Wellow in one direction and Bath Two Tunnels in the other.
Highly recommended.
First visit since new owners have taken over, had an excellent Sunday lunch, good choices on the menu ,compliments to the chef. All the staff were excellent and very accommodating. Will definitely visit again
Stopped by for Sunday lunch and so glad I did, what a find! Talented new owner/chef and his roast was excellent. Lot of thought went into each element, expertly prepared and presented. The Mackerel pate starter too was probably the best I've had. Can't wait to go back.
Stopped here for a bite to eat before doing the two tunnels. We reserved a table but it wasn't too busy so probably could be got a seat anyway.
This is a nice cosy pub with a real log fire and plenty of seating.
There was an excellent choice of food and it was delivered quickly and presented well.
Stopped here after a cycle from Bristol & through the Two Tunnels. The food was fantastic & very reasonably priced. I saw the chef talking to the bar staff, advising them about the menu & could see he had a real passion about his food.
Really nice pub in Midford. Great pub food and friendly service. Outside dining available. Good for families, highchairs, etc. Site of old station and footpath. Many walkers and cyclists stop off here.
Super pub with a garden. It was just a drink stop, but I had 'apples and pears cider' - one of the best ciders I've ever tasted. The place was really clean and smart. Will definitely return.
This pub can be found at the end of the Two Tunnel walk from Bath to Midford. We decided to settle here after the first stretch, especially as they were showing the Wimbledon final. Despite the relatively nice weather, this little spot was rather quiet today which allowed for a peaceful atmosphere.
Crab and prawn linguine was delicious. Attractive pub under new ownership and definitely worth a visit. We'll be back.
Great food, service a bit hit and miss. I had the Fish platter, which was visually appealing although with maybe a bit too much oil. Others had Ham, eggs and chips which was very generous as was the Feta and goats cheese strudle. "Chips" are enjoyable although most places would call them wedges. Ser
Booked table for lunch due to covid restrictions, very accommodating. Sat outside as weather lovely. Had cycled there. Food was so good, 4 people enjoyed a meat platter, fish platter, burger and toasted panini. Hand cut chips are lovely. Recommend, great pitstop when on cycle track to or from Bath
Had the lamb and mint burger, amazing and even better that it came as a gluten free option
Lovely little gastropub.
We arrived with just a few mins until they stopped serving lunch and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Very friendly and helpful, grub was lovely too.
Lovely pub. Nice friendly atmosphere. Food was great, with lots of choices and specials even though we went on a Sunday evening in the winter, which was quiet. I am told Sunday roast at lunchtime is very popular. The staff were lovely . Very Dog friendly.
We went in winter but could see that the bee
Lovely food, great selection of beer and super friendly staff!
The Hope and Anchor certainly delivered a lunch that I will never forget.
For £10, I was able to get a ham and cheddar cheese panini alongside a glass of orange juice with ice. One of the things I liked about their menu was that it's available on their website, allowing me to make a decision about m
