Went with a few friends and had a fab time. Service was great and food was well price! A few of us have allergies/vegans so we couldnt order off the menu, but the chef came and spoke to us and gave us a few options of things we could have which was great and very accommodating! Thank you cross keys for a lovely evening :)

As a regular participant of this very friendly pub, we quite often like to enjoy a meal with the family. The food is delicious, you never have to wait long and the service is always served with a smile. Would recommend always. Recently been decorated, which has transformed the dining area into a bright warmer environment. Well done.

After the recent decorative restoration I feel the pub and restaurant have gained character. At each visit the staff are pleasant and courteous. The new menu is excellent, food prepared and served in good time. A recent disastrous visit to a chain restaurant for my Mother's 80th birthday only makes me appreciate more the brilliant food, ales and wine available here with a much more personal service by some competent staff.

The Cross Keys is, like a lot of the buildings in Bath, soaked in history. Once a coaching house dating back to the 1700's - it's not 'the' very oldest establishment in the area, but can claim original stone fireplaces and a detailed history - for whome those who are interested, is detailed on a plaque by the front door. Tis many a year since I was here last and I'm not sure the Cask Marque Ale Trail was extant then, but that was then and this is now. On this visit the ale was to be tried and be found in the most noble condition. The Blindmans Icarus 4.5% abv, (not noted by CM) was so more-ish it needed a couple more pints to slate the palette. The pub itself, rare (these days) has not been converted into a surround-one-bar-gentrified conversion, but remains a classic 50's style, two bar lounge and public (the Eddie Cochrane) bar. This last, so named after the 50's pop star who, involved in an RTA nearby, was taken to the close by hospital but unfortunately perished. Photo's and discs in his memory adorn the wall here. It's mostly a locals pub, who are affable enough, but, as in days of yore, travellers and visitors on 'The Trail' are made welcome. Be sure to connect with Jack, who seems, during the day, to do almost everything.

Good ciders and local ales. Friendly staff. Outside space for kids to run about... it's a shame that came at the expense of the real grass but it's good in most weathers now and there is a covered area with heaters. Pub quiz at 8pm every Sunday seems to have disappeared for now. Longing to have it back! Update: tonight was a joy. Packed bar, fire in the corner, friends, laughs and 10.45 last orders. 2022 update. The garden is a joy. On a balmy summers evening with the local cricket team retiring for last orders. The marquee seems to be a permanent feature now so, with the sides off, there's plenty of shade in a heat wave.

Great service and food (highly recommend the lasagna and garlic bread!) and an absolutely beautiful garden to sit in. However the wine selection is a bit limited.

I'd forgotten to make a reservation and it was a lovely day, so we sat outside at the Cross Keys and had a really delicious Sunday roast - I had the veggie option, perfect. Husband and friends had lamb, delicious. Speedy, polite and friendly service. Great play area for the kids. Thank you!

Great pub with a spacious outside. Food there is typical pub grub but the portions are decent. Good standard drinks that suit the clientele there.

We visited for valentines day. We had a beautiful home made soup, and the most tender and moist steak I have ever eaten. The staff were attentive and created a lovely atmosphere. Dogs and children are welcomed. And there is a beautiful children's play area in the beer garden.
