Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, would recommend to anyone Pork in Panchetta to die for!
I had a delicious meal last night, and I couldn’t fault it, my work colleagues also commented on how good the food was. There was also plenty of it and I certainly didn’t leave hungry. Thoroughly recommend.
Simply my favourite place! Always a great atmosphere, the best food, the best staff and the most beautiful secret garden ever?
Great meal last night, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, consistently good food at this place. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food, very impressed. I had the steak and my partner the hake. Lovely atmosphere too. Great tunes, friendly staff, and busy despite being a rainy Tuesday night.
Thank you.
Fantastic place to eat in Bath real quality food great staff very knowledgable and a great feel and atmosphere
Had great evening meal st The White Hart, the food was superb. I will definitely return when I next visit Bath.
Food is beautiful, lovely atmosphere and staff went beyond for us when we visited for my sisters birthday. Highly recommended.
Absolutely delicious!!! Just the most fabulous food in a great relaxed atmosphere. I would live here if I could.
Excellent food (Sunday roast), good beer & dog friendly; we will be back. Parking is a bit of a problem.
Lovely visit, friendly staff and dog made more than welcome with doggie treats as well. Food looked delicious as it passed us for the tables that were eating
The best food and the warmest welcome in Bath. The beautiful garden is an oasis of calm in the middle of the city.
Food and staff are amazing and friendly' can't wait to go there again xxx
Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. The Manager is a great friend and she sets a professional, welcoming tone - highly recommend.
A nice place to stay when you're in Bath.
I stayed in a hostel-type dorm room, but the occupancy was relatively low (four beds), and I was the only one staying in the room at that time (early spring).
I enjoyed the proximity to the Bath Skyline walk and to the train station.
The kitchen downstairs is very convenient if you want to store some food and use a real kitchen with dishes and cookware.
Great garden out back.
Overall, a good alternative to a large hostel.
A group of friends and I went to The White Hart Inn while visiting Bath, and overall, it's a pretty good gastropub away from all the tourist crowds.
Our friends live here in Bath and they're the ones who recommended this particular pub. We went ahead and made reservations for a Saturday night, and the place was packed so I would definitely recommend reservations. We could've been seated right away, but the weather was great and so we opted to have a drink outside in the courtyard first, which was enjoyable. I would say they have a medium selection of drinks, nothing too special.
I ordered the hamhock terrine special, which was an adequate appetizer portion and pretty tasty. They had about six or seven specials which definitely caught everyone's eyes. I had the sea bream entrée which was a portion of an entire fish. However, it was not deboned, and I didn't realize this upfront but once I did I was able to debone the fish pretty easily. I generally don't like bone-in fish, but the fish was very well cooked.
The desserts were fine, but not the standouts of the meal. The cheesecake was not fluffy. The brownie was too dense.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal at The White Hart Inn, and would return. Our friend said this is one of the better restaurants in Bath, so I will take his word for it.
I booked in for a meal last weekend, and couldn't have been more surprised. The food was incredible, excellent gastrobup fare. With the excellent location close to the centre of Bath makes the WH one of my new favourites in Bath!
This review is for lodging. We stayed at White Hart two nights in June 2015. It's a very short walk from the train station and central Bath. We were happy with the accommodations, but we're also reasonable and we take cost into consideration. Lodging in Bath is scarce and expensive. You can stay here and pay a quarter what you'll pay at Bath's upscale hotels. Our room had its own bathroom. It was small, dowdy and a little dusty... but we only used it for sleeping so we didn't mind. The staff checked us in, got us situated, then got back to running the pub. We didn't expect concierge service at these prices, so we were not disappointed. Noise from the pub was not a problem. Wifi included. The lodging (some of it dorm style) is on the second floor and there is no elevator so be prepared to haul your luggage up a flight. Keep your expectations in line with your budget and you'll like this place. If you want luxury, attentive service or amenities, stay elsewhere and pay a lot more.
I feel a bit sorry for the below reviewer as this place has become our local in many ways and in all the years I've been going I've only ever had one average meal. I must have had 30-40 great ones. It has a really relaxed atmosphere, great food and a sun trap garden. It's also a really flat easy walk from town (and a short stumble home). I expect the below reviewer caught them at a busy time or maybe the waitress was having a bad day, byt generally this place is fantastic and comes highly recommended by many local people. It's worth noting that they stop food a 2pm on a Sunday and if you want to eat you almost certainly have to book.
I just love TWH. Never had a bad meal there in 5 years. Just don't tell too many more people!
Went to a fun wine tasting event here recently and the food was fantastic. Will return for a lunch or dinner soon.

If lemon posset is on the menu when you go, order it! The lemon sharp silky creaminess was adored by all. This is a charming pub with super good service and an excellent kitchen.
The food was wonderful as always - HUGE portions, there were even roast potatoes left over which is a huge rarity! The staff were lovely and very accommodating- there'd been a mix up about the high chair we'd booked but it was sorted out quickly. A fantastic family meal
Been here quite few times over the years when visiting the area, the food is always very good, and staff friendly and professional. The garden is a really lovely spot. Prices are above average pub prices, but so is the food and overall experience, food is cooked from scratch using fresh and good quality ingredients. Good selection of beers and choices on the wine list. Can get a little noisy inside when busy and advisable to book at weekends/ busy times.

Glad to explore this neighborhood and this charming pub. Sat outside on a Saturday at noon - the courtyard is charming and shaded, space for approx 20. Starters were generous portions and I made a meal out of the bread/ olives combo and gazpacho. The gazpacho was truly excellent, cold and refreshing. Bread was served warm and the olives were in a fab spiced marinade. Truly lovely lunch, and kind staff.
Didn’t eat food from here I was just out filming as an extra for a film in the garden and it was a beautiful garden to be able to it outside in when it was warm, would recommend !
Visited for lunch on a Sunday and we were lucky to grab the last non booked table. A popular pub and a delightful courtyard garden. Service was great (with an optional 10% gratuity on but not included in the bill) three courses 32.50 two courses 27.00 Drinks were reasonably priced and water offered immediately upon arrival and seating. A busy Sunday but staff were attentive and remembered when to bring napkins if required. Overall the food was good, pudding well, the panacota was amazing. Not too pretentious, just good food and service.
Nice little pub especially in the summer sitting in the courtyard garden.
Food is good but service was a bit flakey, we ate early in an unplanned stop and as the pub filled we were forgottenat the back whilst the concentrated on new arrivals.
Beers are OK but not a huge selection, could definitely do with some guest beers.
With a slight improvement to service and a few extra beers this could be one of the best pubs in Bath.
One of the best places to eat in Bath and definitely worth the short walk from the city centre. Amazing food, great atmosphere and the friendliest staff you will find.
A lovely evening out in their beautiful garden. We were served by Kofi and his colleagues who could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Throughly recommended.
Great ambience, excellent service and a value for money festive menu. The under cover arrangements in the garden with external heaters work really well. Good selection of wine & beers...Will definitely be coming back.
Quite literally the best Sunday lunch we've ever had! Their roast potatoes are like crack cocaine! Amazing quality food, wine, service and atmosphere. We drove 2hrs for lunch and it blew us away! We'll be back!
Very nice place to stay in bath, room is clearly but cheep, and food is delicious (so many people in garden seats). Crossing the road, there is Parking square, convenience for driving travel.
Weather was good so sat in the garden. Very chilled and enjoyable evening with good food and service.
Almost always busy, great atmosphere and the staff are lovely.
They serve a great pint of Guinness Clear as well.
Today, in the midst of heavy showers we were able to snatch hand an hour to grab a drink, harissa hummus and halloumi fries in the lovely little sun-trap that is their garden.
The food was excellent. The decor and atmosphere was great too.
One of the ladies working there was either having a bad day or doesn't like working in the service industry, because while she pretend to be helpful and polite, you could sense her disdain and resentfulness having to answer our questions.
Rough pesto was amazing. Really good quality steak.
Shh, don't tell anyone about the hidden garden suntrap, or they'll all turn up. Great staff, quality food and drink.
