As the end of the year nears and I reflect on 2015 and think about what's coming in 2016, the thing that stands out most from 2015 is our trip to England. I've been waiting to write about our trip to Bath, England, always thinking I need more time to really do it justice, but since we haven't dined anywhere new nor have we cooked/baked anything new, I'm just going to dive into Bath. I never like having to pick a favorite movie or song or cookie or, in this case, vacation day, but I will say that of our "day trips" from London, Bath was definitely in the top two.

Fantastic location, great service and awesome atmosphere.
Not the cheapest place to eat, but your in the square outside the Cathedral, opposite the Roman Baths, taking in some great Bitter & good food, whilst the local street musicians strum, pluck and sing the afternoon away.
Highly recommended, a must when visiting Bath.
We visited during Party in the City so it was a busy evening with no seating for our group inside. The menu had changed three days before, so as avid Gordon Ramsay watchers, we were expecting some teething problems. Table service was excellent. We were especially impressed at being offered blankets as it became chillier. The menu was very appealing, and the food was delicious and immaculately presented, although I was less pleased with the boring presentation of some of the cocktails. All was going well until desserts were ordered. We were left waiting so long that we were on the point of cancelling them, as we had an event to get to urgently. It had become very busy inside, but it was an excessive wait for a dessert course. Still, nearly perfect. Will try again on a quieter night.
Great location, facing the Roman Baths and steps away from the Bath Abbey. Nice serving staff and really yummy food. Not overpriced at all. We ordered the fish and chips and the portions were huge!
Absolutely delicious! Memorable. My husband is vegetarian and they offer some excellent options. I had butternut squash soup and they made it to perfection. Recommend you leave room for desert - the chocolate brownie steeped in cherries and honeycomb ice cream is divine!
Nice little gem. Very cosy with good service
The best restaurant in Bath. Fish of the day was excellent: nothing overcooked, the fish tasted fresh, the long green beans al dente, the small new potatoes, the delicious mussel sauce. The three sorbets scoops (raspberry, lemon, mango) were really well prepared. And topped with very friendly service, and cosy surroundings and atmosphere. I will not forget the great Chilean red wine.
Great lunch and kid meals!
