We came two times without reservations and they ran out of Sunday roasts. So we made a reservation and was really happy with the roast. Definitely one of the best in town, although the Yorkshire pudding was too soggy but the rest were all good. We ordered the ribs from the special menu and the portion was huge despite being a starter.

A great little pub with traditional English Ales, pump style, right at the bar. Menu is awesome, their Seriously Beefy Beef Burgers and Bavette Steaks are fantastic. Staff is friendly and attentive. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful little nook to stop and enjoy, initially attracted by the window display, but great atmosphere, fabulous food, polite and friendly staff. We were blown away by the most phenomenal display of orchids!

Booked for Saturday lunch after reading good reviews....they are all true. We had a lovely lunch, very well cooked, choice of portion size was a plus, we both had small portions and it was plenty. The service was great, the young lady serving when we arrived let us know that she was by herself at that time but would be over as soon as possible or we could go to the bar to order, she delivered our drinks and was back within a few minutes for our order. She was so polite, a real credit to the team. It was a scorching day when we visited but it was nice and cool inside which we appreciated. We would definitely visit again when visiting Bath.

Portobello soup & salad were good. Cider was lacking in taste, almost felt de-alcoholized, and wasn’t cold enough. While it may seem minor, the chairs don’t fit the tables. They are tall, and the tables are positioned quite low, which forces you to slouch and lean all the way down to your plate to avoid spillage.

If you want a sunday roast or a meal, better go earlier than 6 since pubs in the area close the kitchens pretty early. With that being said, the two servers at the bar were very kind and accomodating as they helped put in our last orders just before their kitchens closed! Loved having the burger, cosy atmosphere, great service, would definitely come back and have a pint when in Bath!

Great ales served by very kind people. The food is indeed delicious (you have to try the pork belly bites, secret recipe!).

A little more upscale than your typical pub (the prices reflect this too), but the food is good and the staff are friendly. They have good local beers on tap. Free wifi is also provided. There isn’t a huge selection of food on the menu, but the food they prepare is good. Would recommend.

The main server was incredibly welcoming, informed, and super nice. I knew British folks were known for the manners, but my gosh was the main serve gentlemen excellent throughout my entire meal. He recommend a delicious dish to me and as a solo traveler, his great customer service really put me at ease. I wish I would have gotten his name so I could give him a shout out, but once you go in, you will know immediately who I'm regetting to. Will definitely return next time I'm in Bath!
