Reviews The Raven Of Bath

Truly some of the best pies I've ever had! The Steak and Blue is my favourite and I can't seem to convince myself to try anything else - but friends and family I've gone with always rave about their choices as well. This pub doesn't accept reservations, which can make it tricky to plan on a busy weekend. On the other hand, it tends to mean you're bound to get lucky enough to snag a seat if you hang around a bit. A good selection of cask ales and local ciders available. Seating can be very cramped when it gets busy. I find the atmosphere cosy and jovial, but it may prove a bit difficult to navigate for anyone who utilizes a wheelchair. Overall a well priced and delicious meal in a good environment. I always make a point to stop in when I'm in Bath.

One of my all time favorite English pubs. Such a really relaxing atmosphere to down a few pints and have one of their renowned meat pies. If you are not careful you will walk right past it. The service has always been spot on and the ambiance unpretentious, just the kind of place I enjoy unwinding in.

Adore this pub and consider it a must stop while in bath. Pies and chips are incredible (got the steak & raven ale, and the moo-less moo). Get it “loaded” for some really nice roasted veg. Mash was just OK - would get both our pies with chips if we had a second visit. Great real ales!

Awesome atmosphere, cask ales, and delicious pies. I had a vegetarian pie with mashed potatoes and loved it. Laid back vibe, indoor and outdoor seating. If I lived in Bath I would eat here every night.

Perfect first "true" pub experience. The staff are courteous, and the food is exceptional. Perfect for a late night meal and drink. Recommend the beer flight as well.

First time in Bath and hoping to get a nice homemade pie. Everything was fantastic. The chips were sick and crispy, the gravy was very savory in the pie was tender with the flaky. Would definitely go back.

Lovely pub with fresh local cask ale and delicious home-made pies. Convenient location, friendly service, and it's multi-floored—different ales depending on which floor you're on. And there's a library, too! Highly recommended!

One of my first proper British food experiences and it was great! You get to choose a pie, a side and even the type of gravy you wish. Portions were big and the roasted vegetables I ordered as an extra were lovely too. Only downside was a dirty and wobbly table when we arrived.

What a great little pub! They have some of my favourite Bacchus beer in here which was a winner. Great atmosphere and even better pies! If you fancy something a bit more down to earth, I would high recommend! We loved it.

Delightful establishment. Have been here a few times but finally got to enjoy the pie and mash after a long walk from Bristol. It was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced too - recommend the Heidi! Their cask ale selection is large and spans across all bars in the pub. Honestly couldn’t rate this place more.
