Absolutely cannot be faulted. We had a couple of nights in a Heritage Room in the diners delight package. Afternoon tea was beautiful in the garden and our tasting menu the following night was so good. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Would thoroughly recommend 😊

The Hotel gardens where we ate afternoon tea were beautiful, the waiters were very friendly with good humour, the food was delicious and the entire experience was really enjoyable and not at all snooty as I had feared. Highly recommend for a well deserved treat!

Had an afternoon tea and all five of us agreed it was a five star day. Staff and food and drink were amazing. The only thing we hated was missing the garden experience because of the rain.

We had Afternoon Tea in the garden - the setting was ideallic, the service was impeccable and the food was just wonderful. The glass of champagne just topped it off. They even gave us a doggy bag (beautifully boxed.)

The place was beautiful! But the staff were amazing, everyone was smiling and happy to chat with us, even the manager. They remembered us individually. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt like royalty! Thank you!

One of the most beautiful experiences for an afternoon tea, stunning gardens and a fabulous spa and hotel. The staff were very friendly and everything was perfect to celebrate my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary. Probably one of the best afternoon tea experiences in Britain. Thank-you to Royal Crescent for the amazing visit.

Atmosphere and service was what you would expect from an establishment like the Royal Crescent Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. I really appreciated the option of hot chocolate or coffee for non tea drinkers. Scones were served warm and the sandwiches were very fresh and the bread so moist and delicious. Desserts were visually pleasing with a taste to match! When we return to Bath, this place will be our first stop!

My daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea here as part of a spa package at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and the food and atmosphere were beautiful! Loved the variety of teas as well. The fact that you could also get hot chocolate or coffee was a nice bonus, and they even offered extra sandwiches if needed (we didn't!). Would love to come back on a sunny day and enjoy the terrace option, as the garden is beautiful!

Gorgeous cream teas! Me and my partner have been three times now and they never fail to impress with the service and quality of food. Both the sweet and savoury cream teas are lovely, we want to one day return for dinner service. I would say the champagne cream tea is a little pricey and you only get one glass but it is very good quality champagne so opting for that luxury is a personal choice. The setting is also beautiful and the atmosphere doesn't make you feel awkward or out if place, you're always welcome.

Beautiful setting, of course. With a stunning, unexpected walled garden behind. We did the classic tasting menu and the vegan. Both superb. Lovely service too.

Excellent meal in a wonderful location. Special props to Jean-Marc, the sommelier. I would never have chosen a Cali white, but his knowledge was spot on. Perfectly complementing the tasting menu, which was expertly prepared. Will be happy to return.

Very fine dining (with the prices to match). Staff were friendly but a little bit too attentive - may have been because we were having a late dinner, but by no means the last table to finish and get out the door. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, don't skip the desserts!

Had a good dining experience. The tasting menu for dinner is fab - food is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are friendly. The portions look small but the meal is very filling and the desserts are amazing. However, it did take us 3 hours to get through the dinner due to quite slow service. Double check the bill...

While in Bath for a short break, we came across the Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa and discovered the Dower House Restaurant during our walk through the charming hidden gardens. We made a spontaneous reservation and came for afternoon tea today. First and foremost, the service was outstanding - personal, attentive, and the utmost professionalism. Our dietary requirements were seamlessly and courteously attended to. We were showered with delicious sandwiches, scones, Bath buns, and seasonal cakes, in unctuous portions. The tea selection was delightful; my favourite was the Darjeeling Summer. I liked the offer of a cup of coffee by the waiter who attended to us for most of our time there, when we asked to pay; the perfect remedy to our correctly diagnosed post-prandial somnolence. I must say, it turned out to be the nicest afternoon tea experience I have ever had. We will certainly be back when next holidaying in Bath!

We enjoyed an exceptionally good afternoon tea. ALL ingredients were high quality and beautifully presented. Wide range of unlimited tea and coffees. It's expensive but I'm happy to pay for quality and good service for such a rare treat. Be mindful they add a service charge which l do not approve of. But once we explained we wanted to leave a cash tip, they did not add it to our bill. We sat in Dower House looking over the gorgeous gardens. If ever l plan afternoon tea. I'd consider no where else

This is a lovely place, we really enjoyed our afternoon tea, cocktails and a flight of champagne. The food was lovely and what you have left over you get to take away in a nice little box. The experience was made even better by the lovely waitress (a lady with short hair). She was very polite, seemed brilliant at her job and was friendly enough to have a lovely conversation with, sorry we didn’t catch your name. Josh & Mathew Thwaites.

Quite possibly the best afternoon tea that I have ever had. Made even better by the exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly waitress, whose in depth knowledge on every single item on the menu was astounding. I particularly liked the festive themed sweets.

Had the most wonderful dinner. The food was a joy and the staff were so attentive. They all seemed to take pride at working at Dower House. One of the staff was even so aware and conscientious as to come out and check on us after we'd left the restaurant and been involved in an unpleasant altercation with our taxi driver. Outstanding service.
