Absolutely loved it! Best Italian food I've ever tasted and the service was outstanding too. Anyone who visits bath this restaurant is a must! I definitely will be going there again on our next visit! Can't rave about it enough!!

A really lovely restaurant with gorgeous food, wonderful staff and a live jazz band. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back! Highly recommend the Parmigiana!
I had my hen do meal here on Saturday night and it was wonderful! The food, prosecco and wine were delicious; the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. I would definitely visit again with friends, family or for a romantic meal with my partner, and would highly recommend it!
Had a really lovely evening here last night, the food delicious and reasonably priced. The wine was quite expensive so we opted for the ‘house red’ which was absolutely fine for us. The staff were attentive, but not intrusive, the ambience of the restaurant was warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend, and will be going back for sure.
Yet another totally perfecto dinner at the beautiful PV last night. As always the food, wine & service was impeccable. Thank you for giving us the lovely window table overlooking the Weir. The best dining experience in Bath. See you all again very soon.

THE Most Authentic Italian Restaurant in Bath, period. The food is exquisitely made & presented, tastes divine, and can be paired with true Italian wines, specifically imported to "complete" the authentic Italian dining experience. Menu selections include inspired dishes from "the home country", presenting some "unknown in the West", departing from generic spaghetti / lasagne / pizza to introduce restaurant guests to a few "secrets & mysteries" of Italy and its most colourful -- and certainly delicious! -- cuisine.
Contributing to the authenticity is the Italian management & staff, who are all polite and bring an excellence & professionalism of service, even with the occasional hesitancy in English which, in fact, only contributes to the "suspension of disbelief" that allows one to imagine they've been transported to Italy, where every meal is a journey to yet another lesser-known town otherwise famed amongst Italians for its succulent secrets...
Over the past several years, I've had the great pleasure to return to Ponte Vecchio a handful of times to enjoy a meal, each time a different dish. After my most recent "dining excursion", I'm pleased to have discovered there's **yet another** refresh of the menu soon to come, which means more delights on my next major visit.
Ponte Vecchio IS the quintessential destination for "special occasion" fine Italian dining in Bath, well suited for intimate group celebrations as well as important "date nights", being close enough to Bath for convenience, yet removed just enough from the hustle & bustle of the town centre. Its location by the weir adds to its romantic ambience, allowing for a lovely after-dinner walk..
For the BEST, and most Authentic, Italian dining experience in Bath, make it Ponte Vecchio -- a trip to Italy is waiting to be had!

We went there this last Sunday and had a fabulous meal. We were really looked after us, even doing a wonderful espresso martini that wasn't even on the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I've been to every Italian restaurant in Bath, this one is by far the best!
Highly recommend seafood/fish pasta dishes and you can't go wrong with any of the starters as they're all amazing. Even the simple bruschetta is bursting with flavours.
Came all the way from Australia to see my mum and took her here on our last night in Bath. The barman made sure we were served to the highest standard and secured the table at the best location. The waiters were the best I've seen and the food was incredible. Highly recommend it.
I had the best pizza I have ever tasted! The service was also very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

An amazing restaurant! Staff were happy and friendly and knew the menu. Two of us had the stake with different sauces and it was honestly the best steak i have ever had! Cooked to perfection!! Excellent menu choice and a beautiful night time setting.
We spent a full week in Bath eating out every night and this was one of the best restaurants. Although it was exceptionally busy with a wedding party it did not distract from the flavoursome food and professional service. The starter of a meat and cheese selection with grilled veg was lovely and our pasta dishes were of a high quality. The location is very good, right next to Pulteney Bridge and the river.
We were able to to book a spot the day of and so glad we did so. After a long day of touring, we were ready for a good & hearty meal off of a menu dishes that us Americans were able to understand and recognize. The food was fresh, hot, and all of it was delicious between 4 of us. We had appetizers, pizza, soup, pasta dishes, desserts, & cocktails and were very pleased with it all. Service was outstanding, atmosphere was very nice also. Highly recommend.
Out of this world friendly service in a delightful upstairs restaurant with terrace, all tastefully decorated in a modern Naples style. The food was absolutely delicious - probably the best mussels I’ve had ever! Fresh, perfectly cooked with an amazing sauce. The pastas were all al dente with just the right amount of sauce to coat it.
We will definitely be coming back!
We recently been to Rome, so wanted to try this place.. excellent atmosphere, excellent food, excellent waiters/waitresses.. tasted amazing, due to go there soon. The seafood risotto was out of this world..top marks..jer
After multiple times trying to find a restaurant with Italian food that had a table on Saturday afternoon we found this place, I highly recommend, the food is amazing with a view to Putney Bridge the service was fantastic I even had a birthday shot in the end, fabulous service. I forgot the name of the guys who served us but if you are thinking to go don’t think just go I had the best time with my family.
Ponte Vecchio is such a beautiful restaurant. The food is exceptional and the service is flawless. Especially Danny he was fantastic! The atmosphere is divine, situated close to the Pulteney weir by the river gives it such a nice vibe. The steak was cooked so well and I thoroughly enjoyed it, great wine also to accompany the meal. You almost feel like you’ve travelled to Italy here!
Visited this restaurant when the rest of Bath was very busy and easily got seated.
The food was tasty, though the portions don't really reflect the price - high prices seem like an issue across all of Bath, however!
very busy restaurant, great atmosphere, really pretty upstairs with all fairy lights at night and the food was incredible. friendly staff and very attentive, would rate it higher if i could. already recommended to friends and family and would love to come back when next visiting bath. lovely experience
Went for a quitet coffee after a guided city walk tour and ended up staying for lunch.
Delicious pasta, which was what we needed after a few days of pies and sandwiches.
Miguel and Nacho took good care of us.
I came here for my birthday and loved every bit of our meal. The service was top notch, the waiters were so so patient with us and our dietary needs, they even offered us a limoncello shot on the house as a birthday treat! However this restaurant is on the expensive side so be prepared to spend some £££
