Only came out of Bath City centre because we felt a bit shabby, having come off the canal. What a piece of luck! Superb steak sandwich and Bass to die for. Great welcome. Real pub.
A lovely friendly Pub with excellent food and drinks..very welcoming and friendly staff only to eager to serve and help in any way they can. Great prices for lovely home cooked food...a must if you visit Bath...great venue for watching Rugby games... A well run establishment by a great landlord and landlady...this type of venue is very rare now days..
A classic town pub, and at this time of year you can enjoy a great pint either before or after the Rugby, friendly crowd that know how to behave, great selection of beers presented well by polite and friendly staff, the landlord hails from Ireland and hospitality is in his DNA he knows how to make you feel appreciated and welcome, and he runs an excellent pub.
I recommend this place for good food, decent ales and a friendly welcome. It is a very short walk from the main city but we'll worth it.
My hubby and I have had a wonderful weekend in Bath and had the pleasure of finding The Ram at Widcombe. We had a fabulous fun couple of days, with friendly locals like Tony and outstanding bar staff like Dylan who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Thank you.
Good selection of beers and ales, almost non existent selection of whisky and rum, certainly none for sippers which needs addressing.
Did not eat here, just popped in for a drink, but what we had was lovely, and the young lady behind the bar was very helpful especially with our friends dog.
It's a good pub in the lovely Claverton Street which has a a great selection of shops and eateries. Well kept , clean and tidy toilets and a short walk from the little car park at top of road. I would have had food here but only popped in for a couple of welcome ales. Worth a look in as you rest from browsing the shops.
Great staff and manager.. Took time to make us feel welcome and time to take care of social distancing. Beer good, atmosphere good and loads to watch sat with a cold pint on the outside seats..
To think this lovely place with its spacious garden was once an old boozer's pub absolutely blows my mind. Light and airy venue with fantastic friendly staff and my favorite menu. I love this place
[edit] I will have to return, the pub itself has a lot of potential under new management!
Wouldn’t let designated driver get water, coffee or tea. Did not allow non-drinkers to get water without an alcoholic drink and said there was no place for them. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a pub before, they were so awful omg. It’s also really expensive, this place is terrible.
Met with a group of friends here. Friendly service good atmosphere.
Lovely pub a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bath. Lovely decor, most affordable place we visited. Sky sports, Blackthorn Dry and a dart board were very welcome additions! We will definitely be back.
Is there any way to contact the pub or book a table?
Lovely old style pub and immaculately clean. Great ales and food, with the friendliest barkeep around!
Found this to be a great pub , mick behind the bar top man , all the staff very friendly and great food
Nice pint of real ale, friendly greeting and a free folk music band playing on a Sunday afternoon. What else could you want?
Great pints, good atmosphere, surely everything else follows suit. Does seem to have a habit of shutting early, though?
Enjoyed our visit. Quiet on a Sunday evening but great service. Mystified by those who say this is an expensive pub. The price we paid for a Gin & Tonic and a pint of Moretti at £8.70 was a few £s less than in our home town of Brighton.
Watched the match there, friendly staff with free decent quality WiFi and a nice clean feel to the place. Highly recommend, thank you guys. Well done.
