Booked this place last minute and was very pleased with our stay! Rooms are gorgeous, clean and cosy. We had a cottage at the back of the pub which suited us perfect with our dog allowing us to have our own space. It's also in a stunning location. Will be booking again. Thank you 🌟
An absolutely brilliant Inn nestling in beautiful gardens and quiet surroundings. I've stayed in many Lakeland Inns, this one is 'up there', amongst the very best. From the Manager through all of the staff - they want you to enjoy your stay with them. Breakfast - if Ryan is cooking - they don't come
Amazing place to pop into on a summers day with lots of great views in the area, The place was clean and tidy, well presented with a lovely charm. Outside was lots of parking and a nice clean environment. The staff were friendly and helpful and were fast to serve you and offer advice on products. To
Came here for a late lunch at 1:00pm and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Staff were friendly and service was quick and good. You definitely get your moneys worth in terms of size of portion, however this can work both ways as for example a “kid sized roast beef” (which has little difference in siz
Very helpful staff manning the bar and looking after hotel guests. Lots of nice walking paths near the property. Visited the Dubwath Silver Meadow Park which is about a slow 7 min walk from the hotel, also the Bassenthwaite Lake station, converted to a nice cafe.
We have just returned from a 2 night break. We couldn’t praise The Pheasant high enough. The staff, without exception, were so welcoming; friendly; fun & professional. The Hotel has a very relaxed feel; the gardens are glorious; the food was delicious & the Winter Break offers amazing value for mone
This was our second stay after being pleasantly surprised by our last minute booking last year. It was great to see some of the same team still in place and the warm and helpful welcome as good as ever. This is not a fancy hotel or boutique B&B. It’s not a gastro-pub pushing the boundaries. If howe
Went for Sunday lunch today and really enjoyed it. Choice of 3 roast meats as well as an extensive menu. The service was friendly and we really liked everything.
Superb, old style pub in Bassenthwaite. We called in for Sunday lunch and were lucky there was a table for two available; otherwise the place was heaving. Lots of staff and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The home made chicken and leek pie was superb. Great experience and we will return.
Lovely location. Very dog-friendly and easy to get the dogs outside from the rooms. They were also welcomed in the pub and the bar serves various dog treats. The food was good quality. But the very best thing about The Pheasant Inn was the service. Always with a smile, kind, helpful and efficient. W
Popped in for a bite to eat, lovely selection. Great staff and service. Very dog friendly too, noticed on the bar, dog treats and food available for them. Great idea.
We visited the pub a few times on our recent holiday to the Lakes, both times we had fabulous food. The service was always quick and always a warm welcome. Would highly recommend the pub to anyone!
We called in here for a drink and went back the next day for food Wonderful pub Great staff Lovely atmosphere Dog friendly And when the weather permits there is a great beer garden at the back The food was lovely We will definitely be back next time
We picked a quiet week weather great and a beautiful garden to have a pint in…. Friendly staff highly recommend had no food as of yet!
Had a brilliant 2 night stay here with my partner and dog. The staff, rooms and food were great. No complaints at all. We'll be back for sure. Thank you.
