We enjoyed the Roast Turkey dinner with a side dish of Cauliflower Cheese and the Gammon with egg and pineapple, chips, and peas. Both meals were delicious, thank you.
We had a meal here last year and it was 5 stars, so we returned again and was really looking forward to another amazing meal whilst on our camping holiday, but it didn't hit the heights of the previous year. Last year, I had the burger and my wife the lasagne and this year we both opted for the bee
Really nice pub in a nice quiet place, it has a nice outdoor area and serves a good selection of Ales and decent quality food, the only thing that let it down was the cheap condiments, you can have the best food in the world but add cheap Mayonnaise Ketchup etc and it completely ruins it! For the pr
Excellent choice of cask beers and drinks. Beautiful old pub. Dog friendly. The food was excellent too. Very reasonably priced. I chose Salmon Fishcakes, nicely presented and very tasty. If you go at weekend for food ,you may need to book a table. Recommend . We will be returning again,
Nice place. Friendly staff and overall the food was good and the prices reasonable. 10 of us ate. My steak and kidney suet pie was a bit chewy, but all the other meals were excellent. Good portions and a decent beer. Would be happy to recommend, and I'd return.
A really traditional pub serving excellent food. The genial host and very friendly staff made for a superb atmosphere. We ate there with our friends for four nights in a row and were spoiled for choice.
Our second time coming here. I ordered the chicken, ham and leak pie which came with apple cider gravy. Incredibly good fish and chips. The best sticky toffee pudding ever. Highly recommend. Can’t understand why this place doesn’t have 5* Friendly staff and so dog- friendly! Even if some of the dogs didn’t want to share this pub! Can understand. A brilliant experience.
Sat outside on a nice sunny day. The food was OK but not stunning. Had steak pie, which was microwaved to heat. Left the pastry soggy. The flavours were good. Generally, it could have been better. Would have had one of the specials had I known they were on.
What a lovely country pub with a warm welcome from the landlord whom chatted to us given us information on the area, where to walk places to visit, Couldn't fault the food either lovely and hot and good portions ,plenty choice. I would say value for money, very dog friendly even having there own dog
