The Garden Room - Baslow - Photo album

We were taken for lunch by friends during our Peak District stay. Lovely building, beautifully designed with comfortable public areas. The only downside was our host wanted a draught bitter but was not able to have it. Otherwise a fantastic place for lunch afternoon tea.
Thank you so much to the incredibly kind staff at Cavendish House. I was stranded in the floods and a long way from home. They were so welcoming and kind, offered me a hot drink and let me relax in their lounge until the water had partially subsided for my onward journey. Thank you so much! As a lon
Had my daughters wedding reception here last month and it was perfect. Staff fabulous. Food fabulous. Service fabulous. Wine fabulous. Rooms fabulous. Would have welcomed discounted rooms for wedding guests like many other hotels offer..
Myself and my now wife got married at the Cavendish Hotel on the 28th May. We hired out the whole hotel for the day of the wedding and booked several rooms for the night before. From the moment we arrived at the hotel our every need was cater for instantly by friendly professional staff. Every room
The bathrooms are lavish. They were the highlight of the room, especially the tub. The location is fantastic, you can just walk onto the Chatsworth estate grounds from the back of the hotel. However, if you require a cold room and air conditioning to sleep it may be hard for you. There is no AC in t

7 stars - My husband and I visited the Cavendish for Afternoon Tea to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. It was a lovely trip down memory lane as we began our honeymoon here. We held our wedding reception here (the gallery restaurant plus the private dining room) after getting married at Chesterfield Town Hall. We had canapés/arrival drinks, followed by a wedding breakfast. This was the first venue we visited and we didn’t view anymore - it was everything we wanted. The
My sister and I were stranded because of the floods and the staff and the staff were absolutely wonderful and looked after us so well. They managed to find a room for us and we cannot thank them enough.
I had meals only: tea sandwiches for lunch and full dinner in garden room. Very good good but what sets The Cavendish apart is its genuine, polished hospitality. I showed up in frumpy hiking clothes, but they still treated me royally.
We want to say what a lovely time we had from entering for our afternoon tea, the staff were very attentive to us both, and really surprised us with a beautiful plater with a small gift to celebrate our wedding anniversary thank you to everyone ,including the one's we didn't even see behind the scen
This hotel was truly wonderful. The luxury rooms and service are great and then there's the location with its amazing view! The prices are at the bottom of the higher end hotel market and represent very good value for money!
