We were taken for lunch by friends during our Peak District stay. Lovely building, beautifully designed with comfortable public areas. The only downside was our host wanted a draught bitter but was not able to have it. Otherwise a fantastic place for lunch afternoon tea.

I had meals only: tea sandwiches for lunch and full dinner in garden room. Very good good but what sets The Cavendish apart is its genuine, polished hospitality. I showed up in frumpy hiking clothes, but they still treated me royally.

This hotel was truly wonderful. The luxury rooms and service are great and then there's the location with its amazing view! The prices are at the bottom of the higher end hotel market and represent very good value for money!
