This is simply the best Italian restaurant their is , you get a very friendly welcoming for a great guy called Gabriele , who professionalism is top notch , And the food is just perfection, all that and in a lovely atmosphere and surrounding, a must for everyone !!!! Paul

Wow, why didn't we go before it was absolutely amazing. The food is fantastic and so much choice, real italin feel to the whole dishes. The mushrooms were out if this world and my partner said the same about the meatballs! From the moment we walked in, the staff and service were fabulous, so friendly and welcoming. Definitely service with a smile.
I definitely recommend this place, don't drive past book it and go for sure!

This is a rare gem of a restaurant. My other half and I have been going to this place for our Italian fix since 2008, and to be honest we’ve tried other places local to us but none hit the mark like this place (we travel about an hour from Doncaster area… it’s that good)
Family run, traditionally cooked Italian food at its best, and there’s plenty of it, simply presented without the faff and fluff you get at some places.
Set at the side of the village green this stone building decor is warm, inviting and cosy with a traditional Italian rustic feel, Gabs has chosen his staff well, friendly warm and welcoming it’s like being with family every time you visit.
Starters are a good size serving but the mains are incredibly generous, delicious flavours with nothing overpowering this allows the tastes to come through of each dish & it doesn’t disappoint. If you have enough room for dessert they are a divine melt in the mouth experience not to be missed.
So if you like good honest homemade Italian food made by the family, served by the family, that makes you feel like part of the family give this place a try.

You want a place that makes you sit and wait awhile and forces you to have a conversation with one another as your pizza is cooked to perfection? You want a place that makes you feel cozy and not feel stressed about what you have to wear? This is the place for you. The pizza was great, the stomach is full, but there is no feeling of heaviness even for a moment. A perfectly prepared pizza base. The pizza here is real amazing and would recommend trying these guys out. Don’t be afraid to order something other than pizza because whatever you order will be on point.

What can I say!!! This is the best Italian I have ever dined at. The food and service was on another level, could not have asked for more. Also, as it was my daughters birthday, i spoke with the restraunt beforehand regarding some accommodations, and everything was in place by the time we arrived. Just a pity I live so far away, or I would definitely be a regular. Its a must for a foodie to visit this place
We love Italy, the scenery, the people and of course the food. At Il Lupo the service, atmosphere and food is authentic Italian. Huge menu choices, attentive staff, snug, intimate restaurant setting.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at. All of the food was fresh, extremely delicious and very generous in terms of portion sizes. Staff were polite and attentive. Atmosphere of the restaurant also very nice. Would definitely recommend!
Really enjoyed the food here. The staff were very friendly too. Went with my husband and toddler. They were able to make any pasta main into a children's portion which was nice as there was a good variety to choose from.
Amazing food! Manager of the restaurant has been our waiter three times and every time he’s been fantastic, even remembering what I had ordered the times before. The service at Il Lupo is always welcoming and very attentive. Great food, nice place and amazing staff!
Great find among the many pubs & hotels surrounding the Chatsworth Estate. Quite an extensive menu. All three of us chose pasta dishes which were tasty though quite pedestrian also on the large side.
Warm welcome on arrival and it was busy early doors on a Tuesday evening so best book in advance

Excellent service, very good food and a friendly place. We were working away and needed a decent meal without paying a fortune and that's what we got. Splendid value for money, will be back when that way again
Fantastic Italian food. The portions and flavours here will not disappoint. This will become our new regular without a doubt. The fresh pasta was really good, and the extra spicy calzones we asked for are the best we’ve had in England.

I asked for a nice table for two for my mum's birthday and we were seated by a lovely little window near the open fire.
The food was absolutely gorgeous and really good value. Best tiramisu I have ever had, and a lovely evening all round.
Went for the very first time tonight. Although the restaurant was busy, lack of staff, the service was excellent. Very friendly & welcoming. If we lived nearer, we would definitely attend again. Thank you for a lovely evening Il Lupo 😊
We live 4 miles from this restaurant, The owner runs the kitchen and has some great guys running the front of house, everything is home cooked and genuine Italian fair, Can’t say we have ever had a bad meal there, Great location in the Peak District walking distance from Chatsworth house. Can thoroughly recommend. 10/10
Fantastic food and a very relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a leisurely dinner. We ate a variety of pasta dishes and they were all superb. Very generous helpings. Definitely a top place to have dinner in Baslow.
