The cakes were tasty (as usual), but they seem to be critically understaffed. The cakes came after 5 minutes, the tea cake after 10 and the drinks a few minutes after that and it wasn't particularly busy.
Only negative taste wise was the raspberry and coconut latte which was just too sickly sweet.
I was apprehensive after reading some reviews...but we had a delicious Afternoon Tea for 2. Good range of sandwiches, light and fluffy cakes, warm scones. The staff were very attentive and efficient. Light, airy space.

We were let down by Winchester Patisserie Valerie who were not doing afternoon teas and were quite unhelpful. We phoned Basingstoke before we left and Chris answered, he was so friendly and helpful. Kitchen was short staffed so food was taking very long and we couldn't wait so had to get a takeaway from elsewhere. Store apologised and issued a full refund.

Came in to buy some cakes as a treat for the family. Lovely young man (Kadeem) helped us select our cakes as they had run out of my favourite one.
Customer Service appears to have improved since the last time I visited.
Brilliant quality of cakes, service was slower due to freezer issues but staff coped well, Chris the manager is commended, would recommend afternoon tea and cakes

Nice service. Good cake. Great fries. Nice vibe sat outside. Great as we had our three kids and they do free babychinos .

I went there for coffee and although my stay was brief, loved the service, great food and coffee, beautiful ambience, found the staff helpful. Credit cards accepted.
