First time in this pub for me and my partner who is from Basingstoke, we loved it!! Lovely friendly atmosphere and the juke box was to die for :) would highly recommend
Popped in Saturday evening with friends for few pints and a bite to eat, got to say food was very good and reasonably priced, did feel for the barmaid doing a great job with hand in a cast, all staff that night were very warm friendly professional and welcoming, the place had a great vibe and some lovely ales had a exceptionally good pint of old hooker recommended by staff the others I tried were just as good, this place gets top scores from me, will definitely be back
Went there for my 45th birthday yesterday and it was really nice. Good selection of beer and ales and the food was tasty and well priced. It has a good juke box with some old and new tracks which the staff are happy to turn up if you fancy a dance. Staff are friendly and there is a nice outside garden seating area when the weather is nice. It's a proper pub and one of Basingstoke best.
Well kept ales, excellent light & bitter and although we didn't eat, the menu looked like proper pub grub! Thinking of using The Queens as a rugby venue as the TV's are well positioned.
After walking for an hour to find a pub this is a lovely little pub with very helpful and friendly staff
Great visit at lunchtime with a couple of friends. Friendly staff, great sandwiches and spot on real ale.
I enjoyed a a good beer and a decent sandwich while I waited for a train. Thank you
Always my first stop when I arrive in Basingstoke. A real pub, with character.

right next to the train station
old fashioned pub with ale
Our first visit - it won't be the last - excellent 👍
Great selection of cask beers. Handy for the railway station.
Booked a table for 8 for my birthday... food was fantastic the chef checked to make sure we were happy! Staff were friendly everything was exceptional we had a great night thank you all
Superb friendly & very welcoming, if only all pubs were this good, highly recommended,
Had a nice Sunday roast, everything was good. Just the vegetables a little over cooked. Plus the place has a strong smell of bleach, kinda ruined the experience. But the staff are lovely.
Small cosy pub near the station. We popped in for a quick one before walking to The Anvil. Toilets smelt a bit on our visit. 04/10/22

One of the nicest experiences I've ever had at a pub. I was served by Nick but I am sure all the personnel are equally as kind and lovely. 100% recommend!
Great pub serving several real ales, constantly changing. Thai food was good.
Very close to railway station.
Great location by the train station and warm atmosphere. Nice range of ales on tap. Haven't had the Thai food that is on offer but will come back to definitely try.
A nice pub by the station, only a minute from the main station entrance. Very welcoming staff. Food smells amazing and a good price. I will be coming back for food.
Nice quaint pub near the station. Floors could be cleaner, and might need a good round of professional clean. Good selection of beers on the tap. Will return to try the food in the future.
Nice old pub close to the train station. Usually has 3 or 4 real ales on at a weekend, and has the usual array of other drinks. Friendly locals and welcoming atmosphere.
Really friendly bar, locals and office staff mix, don't come in expecting something it isn't. It's just a local pub doing its best.. real ales and the usual lagers.. the Thai food is a revelation.. I really recommend this place.
