We went last night, Our waitress was fantastic. Everything came so quickly, the staff were so efficient even to the point that I went to wipe the table after our starter and a guy appeared from nowhere at that precise moment and cleaned it. The food was perfect as were the cocktails. Cannot really fault it to be honest!
Just had a lovely meal. Everything cooked to perfection! Lovely waitress. Didn’t have to wait too long for our food. Definitely recommend and without a doubt will be returning!!
We had a lovely meal at Miller & Carter, would recommend the T-bone steak! Service and food was excellent!
Quite possibly the best steak I have ever had. The staff were polite, knowledgable and courteous. Will definitely recommend.

There have been mixed reviews about this newly opened place; food comments typically good, service a bit hit and miss.
They have listened and have such a slick and welcoming team now, rivalling their far more expensive London rivals.
Celebrated our 18 year old’s birthday there last night; from the first call to Phil (Front-of-house and manager) about decorations and cake, it was everything I would expect from a bloody good steak house.
The bar is a very cool space, and the cocktails are well-priced and mixed to order unlike so many other chains; Jack (I think) knows his stuff. Being greeted by a man that I would think of as pretty much an old friend, Jose (he used to work at La Tasca, and remembered us, making a point of meeting us in the bar to ask if we remembered him) made it all the more personal, and I would definitely ask for him next time we book!
Food is great, simple (it’s great steak, for goodness sake; why complicate it), swift and piping hot, and even my younger, Pescatarian daughter had loads of choice.
I genuinely could not fault it, and we eat out a lot, yet never felt there were many places in Basingstoke we’d go back to; Phil and Jose will ensure we do.
Literally the most delicious meal I have had in ages!!! Staff were lovely, great service from our waitress who made great recommendation for my meal and nice atmosphere. Very impressed, and full up on delicious steak! ��
Today we had an amazing meal at the steak house. 5 adults, a toddler and a baby are not an easy table to deal with but both the food and staff were fabulous with the steaks being outstanding.
Excellent meal and fabulous service. It seems as though any teething problems from the first couple of weeks have been sorted and it’s now at the level expected from a Miller & Carter. Total 5* tonight. Well done to our waitress Kellie who was fantastic and couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive.
We live a 5mins walk away so the opening of this restaurant was great news for two steak lovers! We’ve been twice, on both occasions served by Jose and the service we received was beyond exceptional. The steaks have been excellent and accompaniments equally good.
Both occasions there have been things unavailable on the food and drinks menu - will give benefit of the doubt as it’s new and busy in preference to disorganised.
Prices are high and some people evidently disappointed however I can’t say I’ve seen or experienced any of that. You can’t please everybody I guess but very important to keep standards extremely high if the prices are to be justified. For now, I’m very impressed and will come again. Keep it up though! �
Everything was amazing from the moment we got there. The staff were brilliant we were well looked after, not rushed at all.

We've visited this Miller & Carter a few times now and each visit has been excellent.
The staff, particularly the waiter who served us, we're all very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide suggestions on orders - or help you pronounce the names of some of the dishes!
We opted for the Butcher's Block to share without starters. We've had this before and it's always been very nice.
The meal comes with a lettuce wedge each with choice of dressing, 3 cuts of steak (one Rob eye, one rum and 2 fillet), one sauce pot each, two onion loaves and two sides. If you're really hungry, you could manage it solo, but it's ideal for two to share.
The restaurant is large and was busy on the night we visited, but service was quick, efficient and friendly.
Plenty of parking on site and there's a great selection of wine/cocktails of you're not driving, with the restaurant being a 10 minute taxi from the town centre.
Will be visiting again!
The food here is always great. I would recommend the dry aged steaks, calamari and the creme brulee. The scallops were very average and lacked a good sear. It was a busy night so it took some time to get the attention of the waiters when we needed
My partner and I had never been to Miller & Carter before but to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement, we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed!
Our server, James, was friendly and approachable but still entirely professional. He treated us like we were regular customers and nothing was too much to ask. He kept a close eye on all his tables, providing them with things before they even contemplated asking. Hands down the best service I’ve ever received when dining out and would be willing to come back based on that service alone!
Now, it’s no secret that Miller and Carter aren’t a “affordable” restaurant, infact we only went as my partner company were footing the bill, but it was worth every penny! The food was absolutely phenomenal. Seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was wonderful.
Very good food, well presented and very full of flavour, the waiter service by James this afternoon was outstanding, really interactive with all of the customers and so full of energy, amazing overall experience highly recommend
Zsanett served us tonight and we had superb service. She was super kind; very attentive and very professional. The food was gorgeous. First visit and very impressed

Went there in the evening to celebrate my mum's birthday. The food was great, Alex was friendly and attentive, when he found out it was a birthday dinner, he even had a "Happy birthday" message added to my mum's dessert. Slightly disappointed that we weren't able to try out their mango bomb dessert, didn't realise that it was such a popular item, that it was all sold out. But all in all, it was a great meal, we all enjoyed it and would definitely come back again.
Outstanding food. 4 adults and 1 child eating. All 3 courses were delicious and excellent value for money, given the high quality (strongly recommend the butchers board for two). A shout out to the chefs for how amazing it was. Our server, Alex, was friendly and attentive making the whole experience throughly enjoyable. This was our first time eating at Miller and Carter, it won’t be our last.
We visited for a Easter Sunday lunch, a party of 7, which included our 3 grandchildren. Our waitress was Jade; welcoming, friendly, impeccable attention to detail, impressed us with what appeared to be a photographic memory as she repeated our very long order back to us without a hitch. Food was perfect, the grandchildrens needs and whims accommodated and met without a hitch. We had a lovely time. We’ve always had good food here and returned but Jade left a lasting impression on us and the service we had from her really made the day. Thank you. We have just rebooked for my 50th birthday family lunch in July.
The Food was good and tasy. Steak was quality meat and well cooked and a good portion size and service was great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is nice. Ideal for a nice family dinner or date. Simple decor and quite a variety of choices on the menu.
