Love the pastry, prices are competitive, staff are friendly. The only thing that lets this place down in my opinion is the fact that they do not warm up the food after it gets cold 😫.
If they would reheat food it would be a game changer!
Amazing service from the staff today, I didn’t catch her name but she was very polite and patient and helped me figure out how to use the app. She even brought over mine and my friends drinks when we went to find a seat. Pizza and hot chocolate was 10/10 as always. :)
I use Gregg's almost every day best bacon roll and coffee and very pleasant staff in all their shops...
PS remember to have your card stamped for your free coffee

Love Greggs. The bits we love the most are very high in calories. But you don't count calories when your eating their sausage rolls.and all the other naughty things.but some of their rolls are lower in calories. All the food is very nice.the number one bakery on the high Street for me.all at reasonable prices to.
I have been a fan of Greggs for a long time I used to work in Southend so was always in Greggs. The service is excellent and I can't fault the staff if there was one thing I would moan about would be that now Greggs is doing a collection/delivery service waiting times have got longer in store other than that brilliant team and excellent service.
After a friend was let down with food for a funeral this shop was fantastic made samwich and sausage rolls with only 90mins notice. Well done greggs basildon
I use this Gregg's frequently and the quality has been consistent the while time. Good selection of pastries and sweet treats. The staff are good and will let you know if something has gone cold, and if you're ok waiting they will put something in to bake for you. They also are well stocked on breakfast stuff that I know runs out at other Gregg's branches. There is seating which can be busy at peak hours such as breakfast and lunch, but I've nearly always managed to get a seat if I want one.
Its Greggs, it had what I wanted, - good selection - I purchased - I ate :-D yes clean and tidy staff polite, even when busy
Lovely cafe or shop to go to nice food very polite and professional staff in there never been rude at all as I have been in her like 5 times myself and I have never had any issues or problems in this cafe or shop.
You can get anything you want in there in the way of:
Sausage rolls
Wedges
Chicken
Soup
Rolls
Sandwiches
Crispy
Steak pie
Donuts
Cakes
Drinks like cold and hot
They all taste delicious and friendly couple of good seats in there to sit down and eat but they could of put a few more tables and chairs in there as there is only two or three in there but because of this pandemic it could be quite hard.
There are three Greggs in Basildon town centre, but this is the one I go to the most. The bacon baps/baguettes from here are always good, and I appreciate the service as well.
Coffee was nice and better price than others.
Even with a queue it's a fast and friendly service, great food as always and love the vegan sausage roll. Greggs, let's get some more baked vegan options...pastry and doughnuts are life!!
