The Ropery Coffee Shop - Barton-upon-Humber - Photo album

We had an enjoyable couple of hours here in spite of a damp & dreary day. The museum is a small part of an interesting redevelopment of the old rope factory. The redevelopment saw the long single story building divided into a series of units with different purposes. There are a lot of artists workin
We ordered Mac n Cheese and a pot of tea. Service and food was excellent. The Mac and cheese was rich and creamy. The accompanying salad was lovely, fresh and vibrantly coloured. Not your average boring side salad. I love that the cafe is not too big and noisy. There is also more seating outside whi
A great walk today so decided to pop in for a coffee in the Ropery Coffee Shop. Met with a warm welcome by Lisa and served a great coffee. About a dozen others in the shop but a real nice atmosphere and Wendy was happy to spend some of her valuable time telling me about upcoming events that could in
We recently watched the Rotary Variety Show here and it was a terrific venue. The staff were amazing.. above and beyond. A great place and definitely worth a daytime visit also.
I visited here with my father and my partner, while on a trip to Hull. I didn't know what to expect as I'd never heard of it. It has a beautiful craft shop with lots of pieces by local artists. There is also a gallery showing showing lots of beautiful works, and some studio space. The museum is ok
I had visited the café before just for coffee, which is very nice, and they have a choice of oat or soy milk. People were friendly and it is a lovely place with a range of artworks exhibited inside (paintings, sculptures, ceramic...) Nice to sit outside, it is dog-friendly and people of all ages wer
I attended The Natural Homecoming exhibition by Colin Blanchard which was not only well-presented and a pleasure to peruse but very educational and informative. Colin was generous with his time to guide anyone interested through the process of screen-printing. Adjoining the Exhibition were the Craft
Another great evening's entertainment tonight from Source at this lovely cosy venue. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and brilliant entertainers. What more could you want?
Beautiful art gallery and craft shop in a former rope making factory, with plenty of work available to buy from local artists. Sadly didn't get to sample the café on my first visit. Will definitely return
Had a plowman lunch which was quite a size. Very nice. The shop is in a old famous rope making building which has been converted to a café and several other business's with a small museum explaining about the rope making. Worth a visit.
Lovely cafe, shop and art gallery. The Ropewalk is also much more than that. The museum showing how ropes were made which explains the length of the building. You can happily spend a great few hours here.
Delicious food everytime I've been there, especially the cakes! It's nice to look around the art gallery too whilst there.
Ropewalk in Barton-upon-Humber won me over with their amazing toasted paninis! Perfectly toasted with fresh, flavorful fillings, each bite was a delight. The outdoor seating added to the charming experience, and the friendly staff made it even better. I'll definitely be returning in the future when
Free parking, nice coffee shop and restaurant with some outside seating under cover , two galleries , art shop , museum, and an interesting walk along Barton creek and the Humber foreshore. Something for everyone and a nice trip out.
Wonderful cafe in the ropewalk. I had the breakfast frittata (mushrooms, potatoes, tomatoes and cheese) and beans, and I could seriously only eat that for the rest of my days! Lovely atmosphere and great surroundings.
Enjoyed an excellent lunch of olive and walnut quiche plus three salads at the Ropery café. A great selection of cakes and good coffee. The arts centre and small exhibition about rope making is interesting too
