We came for an "impromptu date night". Thursday and the meal was fantastic as always. The waitress was so so lovely. The waiter and waitress were clearly cold and the room was cold. They both had impeccable serving manners and never once let us or anyone else know they were cold. The waitress saw I was cold and moved us to near the radiator when the table became free without me even having to request. The gins rhubarb and the black cherry with sour grape were delish. So thank you for making our evening lovely. But please put some kind of heating facility in the area for the waiters and waitresses. I cannot practice ok see the two ok enough for their warm professionalism inspire of their own concerns. �����
Moved to Barton last year and visited here after the place we booked cancelled. So glad they did, have been back to Harrison's numerous times since. Went last night and as always wasn't disappointed. Me and my partner ordered scotch egg starter, he had the beef brisket main course and I had chicken stroganoff. The beef brisket was delicious, only criticism was it could have had a little more sauce, and don't be fooled by the size Of The stroganoff.. I thought looked small portion but after eating it with the side of veg I couldn't fit a dessert in �.
Service is always impeccable, thanks Lee for serving us with a smile and sense of humour. We love the atmosphere, and like the downstairs or upstairs restaurant. Ambience is great in both.

Came last night for yet again, another delicious meal. Great service and atmosphere. I’ve never had a bad experience at Harrison’s, would highly recommend.

Had a great birthday meal! My starter was the brie red onion filo basket and my husband had the smoked haddock fishcakes, both were delicious and the presentation was great. We both had the slow roasted belly pork, with mashed potato and seasonal vegetables with an onion gravy. The pork had great crackling .The pork was soft and the mashed potato was one of the best that we've had. We both had the selection of home made ice creams for dessert. It was just fab! I had popcorn , mint choc chip and rum and raisin flavours. The presentation was great, set out to make your own 99, with nuts,flake and sauce. Service was great and the little bottles of prosecco were excellent. The value for money and quality of food was just wonderful and thank you for the birthday drink and the taste of your new wine. We will see you soon for sure x
Had another excellent experience again, service was tip top, food brilliant (even for piccy me) and our poor waiter ( Dominic) tackled every task with ease.

Well worth the money, infant I thought it was under priced for the quality of the food. The staff were lovely and the waitress was very helpful.

The food, service and drinks selection has always been top notch each time we have eaten here. We like the fact that local, seasonal produce is used where possible.

Only went for food. So can’t comment about other things. Really enjoyed the meal. Felt service was a bit disjointed. While staff were lovely there was no direction. Got meals before cutlery and silly things like that. Told we were too late for a dessert after eating the mains and then asked by another girl if we wanted a dessert. Had a fabulous pork chop. Dessert was lovely as well. Heard they’d lost two key staff so perhaps that was why service wasn’t on par with the food. Will definitely go back. Food was so good anything else was forgiven.
Best pub in Barton by a long shot. Organised the perfect wedding reception for myself and my wife.
The room was exactly what we expected for our special day.
It's nowhere close to my local by distance, but holds the title anyway.
Nice decor and friendly staff. Bed very comfy but was too hot in the room. Also had trouble with the shower as was difficult to turn on and off. Was also noisy at night with people outside chatting etc until the early hours. Avocado and poached eggs on toast was lovely. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Wish there was a choice of bacon as they only do the hard crispy rashers.
Had an overnight stay to meet up with some friends. On arrival staff were very friendly. Was shown to our room on arrival and was very impressed with the room considering the price we paid. Had a lite bite to eat in the afternoon and the food was delicious. Drinks also very reasonable. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection to choose from and everything was cooked to order. Will definitely be returning again.

Came here for a family Sunday lunch and had an amazing dining experience. The thing that really stood out was how well trained the staff were. Overall, the service was excellent. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children, and despite this, our drinks and food came out quickly and at the same time, and we felt really well looked after. The decor is lovely but the state of the toilets were surprising for a lovely pub like this. They are rather dated and could do with a refurb to match the rest of the pub. The George Inn is dog and child friendly (they even have a menu for dogs). The food was all presented really well, and the roasts came with a shared vegetable dish (mix of broccoli, red cabbage, greens and carrots), a small bowl of cauliflower cheese and a small pot of extra gravy (much appreciated!) Everyone enjoyed their food and there was enough choices on the menu
to accommodate our group's various dietary requirements (Veg, GF, picky kids). Would recommend the slow roast pork belly, coconut prawn starter, and the guiness choc cake! The ice creams were also a highlight. Food was well priced, especially when opting for 3 courses. Good selection of drinks, too. We will certainly visit again. Thanks again to the George team!
Absolutely fantastic food. My husband had the pork chop which he was raving about for some time after. I decided to have the option of three starters with chips.... all were delicious but there was far too much food for me!!! Eyes greedier than belly!! A few nights later, we went in on spec hoping for a table. The place was buzzing as it was a Friday night, but the lovely young man on the bar managed to find us a table where we indulged in the best fish and chips I've had in YEARS! All washed down with a couple of pints of Black Sheep, and the fish and chips were on 2 for 1!!! Highly recommend this pub. Great staff, fabulous food and an excellent choice of beers.
We shared a delicious meal with friends on Friday evening. The staff were very welcoming and the icing on the cake was the dog menu so our four legged friend could eat his meal at the same time as ours. He loved the sausage, mash and gravy and joined the clean plate club. Best of all, 10% of the price of a dog meal go to a selection of dog charities.
Certainly recommend this lovely pub.

Great place for a beer. Plenty of seating, great pool able in the bar bit out of the way.
Beer is always good and and a good selection and alwaysservice with a smile.
Very busy with food and good selection of grub.
They also do a stall at Barton Market once a month and the pork pies are to die for.
