We happened to stumble upon this lovely place after walking over the Humber Bridge, and have visited there ever since. Such a friendly welcome with a large selection of delicious home cooked food. Real ales are well kept. The big bonus is that they also cater for dogs in the Poop Deck.

We popped in yesterday after we had walked across the Humber bridge and it was a great little pub to have a drink and a sit in the sunshine before walking back. Next time think we will stay for some lunch. Very friendly cute little pub :)

Been a while since we went, but yesterday we decided to pop in for evening meal. As always, food excellent, beer good, prices very reasonable.

Food was absolutely amazing. Really good sized portions and owner is very friendly. Slight issue with the food was rectified, not the sloops fault, it was a supply issue which was obvious, very warm atmosphere and would definitely recommend venturing there your self. Extremely reasonable pricing aswell.

Fantastic pub and excellent service! Dog friendly and reasonably priced. Visited this pub for my auntie’s big birthday and it is wonderful. Excellent service and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Amazing choice of food on the menu and portion sizes were generous (see the pictures of the desserts!) Really delicious food we will be back thank you

We moved to West Ella in East Riding back in September. We are enjoying finding new places to go. Anyway we found this pub after visiting the nearby Humber Bridge viewing area. From the outside it does not look much. Went in the first time just for a drink. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice selection of drinks, lovely staff and it was busy. We returned a few weeks later having booked a table to eat. All fresh home cooked food which was very tasty and decent. Plenty choice, main menu, specials menu, vegetarian menu and children's menu give enough choice for all tastes. Will be returning again

Went for lunch Thursday 21st September for lunch my wife had Chicken Caesar Salad, which she said was amazing, I had the steak and ale pie, but I must admit I’ve never had one with so much steak, the pie crust was amazing, I can only recommend 101% everything was just perfect. Thank you so much, Viv and John Clegg.

Lovely pub. Very welcoming staff. Nice refreshment stop after walking over the bridge from Hessle. Couple of real ales on. Although we didn't eat there, plenty were.
