Visited when I found out this place had been taken over!
What a turn around already, Jennette is absolutely fabulous, so vibrant and exactly what this place needed!
I had the most amazing food, I can’t wait to watch this pub flourish under new management.
It seems there’s a new feel to this pub since my last visit. Feels so much more welcoming and my hunters chicken was delicious. The new manager was very sweet and made sure everything was ok for us. Thank you so much for a lovely lunch and we’ll definitely pop in again
Went for drinks. Very quiet in the pub.
Decor was ok. The tiled flooring is a bit hard to look it, it's almost like an optical illustration.
They kept running out of glasses for gin, so had to make do with other times (including wine glasses). Not having gin glasses isn't really a problem.
Fast service at the bar. Ordering from the app at your table was very slow, despite being very quiet in the pub.
Staff are friendly and welcoming.
I would go again, as it was nice a quiet and decent prices.

Well, overall it was reasonable, but the bar definitely needs more Staff. It would seem that there Coffee Machine was still not working ! a small point maybe but for me a massive let down, I love s dessert and coffee after a meal. The Glass of Red Wine served as part of the meal package should be labeled "Toilet Wine".
Does anyone know what the manager finds so riveting on his phone that he is constantly looking at it and not focussing or maybe serving at the Bar?
At the moment my personal view is we have another weatherspoons here, be it at an increased cost.
Someone posted that the prices of a beer seemed high, well after much searching online I failed to uncover any prices for drinks, so here we are some bar prices 🤪

Well as per your response, I went on to visit again twice in fact, once for dinner and once for lunch and guess what, the Coffee Machine was still not working, that's me done !
My apologies if this is not within your power, but what is within your power is to ring and keep ringing until someone at Head Office answers your request - fix the coffee machine
The service was very fast and friendly!
Food was amazing! Nice big portion sizes with hot fresh food. The steak we had was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy! Would definitely be coming here again!
Went after work with colleagues. Had a pizza and couple of ciders. Great service, lovely pizza, which they happily adapted to my personal taste 😋. Will be visiting again, soon.
Decent Marstons pub in Barry. The pub has a large car park. Inside is fairly big with lots of TV's showing sport. The food I ordered was fine and reasonably priced. There is a large outdoor eating and drinking space.
Great service from Nathan! Pub was busy with a great atmosphere. The kids corner kept our young daughter entertained and a pool table for older children. Enjoyed the grazers. See you again soon!
The store set out very nicely picked up a couple of bargains got to the tills only one lady there to assist us there were three of us waiting to be served the assistant was having a lot to sort out gor the lady who was being served another assistant came behind looked at us then walked away into the store. Sometimes you wonder why people bother shop on line when we have these lovely stores to go into and feel the atmosphere but I really now why now.
The new manager seems committed to turning this pub around. Welcoming, Great food and easy to spend time here now.
convenient location, with plenty of parking. Great value food and drink, bonus of a meal deal and quiz night too. Ordered both food and drinks using the app and both arrived in a very timely manner.
Lovely meal very quick too and presention was good… my daughter has type 1 diabetes and struggles to find food she can have but Nathan the manager remembers us and goes above and beyond to help us… really excellent service off them …

We're very helpful,even explained that onion rings were cooked in same oil as scampi, as my cousin can't eat onions,gave her the chance to change her order . Lovely food, my mother's fish was huge and she enjoyed it enormously
We had a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and chatty. The atmosphere was peaceful.
