Visited Barry island last week, and had a brilliant day on the fair ground and arcades, that good we built up an appetite, so we visited this very well presented pub, finnegans inn!
Upon arrival, we could see it was a busy day for them.
We found a table, settled down and then went to order food at the bar, where the staff were so welcoming and helpful. They told us to expect a short wait, but our food arrived in a reasonable time!
I ordered the sausage and mash, which was served with onion gravy to die for and for just £5!
My nana ordered the ham egg and chips, which was served as real hand carved ham. She thoroughly enjoyed it and cleared her plate, and again, for just £5 the portion size was very good!
My partner then thoroughly enjoyed a double burger with Cajun spiced fries and also cleared his plate!
All in all was a very pleasant visit and we will definitely be returning
Went there yesterday with my mum im a local but my mum isnt and was her first time and we both had the gourmet beef buger and it was huge and stunning! Well worth the money and staff as usual were friendly and service was fast!
We visited Finnegans restaurant today for the first time, we all had fish and chips, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal it was hot and nicely presented, will definately go again.
Great pub/resultant. Reasonable prices and great staff. We visited from Plymouth, Devon. Fun location. All round modern, friendly pub.

We were in on Saturday as we were visiting Barry island as part of my Daughters hen weekend would just like to say a big huge thank you to the Manager all the bar staff and the customers they all went out their way to make sure we had a great day nothing was any trouble to them hope you enjoyed our Scottish company as we all enjoyed your Welsh hospitality wished we had stayed longer we will be back next year thanks again xx.
Fabulous atmosphere, waitress who served us was extremely polite and friendly. Food was great. Will be returning.

Visiting spontaneously as part of our first ever visit to Barry.
Staff were very friendly, service was fast and the food was amazing. I had the Scampi & hubby got the cod, both very impressed with the food and felt freshly cooked. The sticky toffee pudding was incredible and not too much date - which is to my preference!
the food was surprisingly incredible. everything tasted great. i tried the fish and chips along with the sticky toffee pudding and i completely recommend it all. the staff was very friendly and the service was quick! a great food spot!
This place has a great atmosphere and amazing food, 100% recommend!
A lovely little pub, I just went there with my girlfriend and we had some lovely grub! The staff and pub-goers were very nice (shout-out to Simon) and I was very glad there's karaoke! Definitely coming back!
Great value food and great food. Fish batter is absolutely stunning.
Lamb and mint burger was beautiful, burger was succulent and juicy.
Pork Schnitzel was amazing
But the homemade Onion Rings just hit differently. Never had ones like it, they were stunning.
Visited here today on a school trip and I must say what a wonderful service we had!! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff from the chip shop were exceptional!! They went out of their way to make sure everything was on hand ready for us and made us feel extremely welcome ! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making the day so perfect. Can’t wait to return here! Would highly recommend as it’s well worth the visit ! A gem of a place 😀😀x x
Decent bar next to the funfair - friendly, helpful staff and friendly customers. Food was acceptable, but there is a great chippy next door.

So I ordered the large fish & chips....WOW it was like a whale when it came out but so beautiful. Next time me and my family come down on holiday we will definitely be coming back.
A tardis! Much bigger inside than it looks from the outside! Nice food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff.
