I use this chippy around once every 2 weeks. Staff are nice and friendly the shop is kept clean and tidy. The food is nice and hot, I feel the food used to taste a little nicer last year however the food still tastes good. Highly recommended

Yesterday I had the nicest fish and chips I have ever had and I am 75.I went in at 4 o'clock and I was a bit worried that I would get the re-fried chips from lunchtime.I watched the happy cheerful staff filling the salt and vinegar and doing all the tasks to get ready for the rush.I paid a bit less than I had expected and went home. When I saw my meal I was stunned, perfectly cooked cod in crisp batter and chips to die for.You must support this shop ,I know there are hard times ahead but lets support this shop.

Always polite and always busy. Easy to order and walk in. Website allows pre ordering, and worst case if item is sold out by time you arrive, they will always make it up somehow. Plus curry sauce is best around.

Well that was a surprise! Just popped out of a meeting and smelt the glorious aroma of evaporating vinegar from our favourite fried potato staple. Decided that I would scrap my lovingly made tuner mayo sandwiches and opt for something a little more hearty, well I'm glad I did. A friend of mine suggested this chip shop and described it as "banging"! I'm unsure what exactly that is but was curious to find out. The food is great and care attention with some excellent service is what you can expect. Thank you for filling my belly guys, I will no doubt be back for some pie and chips in the not so distant future. 5 stars a real proper chip shop with real proper "banging"! Food

We were looking for a good fish and chip shop and the reviews was one of best. So we found it without to much trouble. I can tell you I love my chips and I had walked away from 3 other shops they were ok but not good enough and expensive. Fryer tuck still not sure I get what I was looking for. I was looking for. I can tell you it was the best fish and chips shop I have found in Wales. It's clean staff are friendly and not expensive. Fantastic well done to the person running this shop. When I saw the number of people waiting I knew it had be good. You should open a shop in cardiff.David H

Regularly visit just for the chips, nicest chips in Barry, always fresh and always hot. Cod and sausages are always lush. If you have the mushy peas though they always seem to cool quickly before getting home (2min walk for me) . Try the Irish curry, it's sooo good. The only reason for 4 stars was that it's a little small and cramped when busy. Nothing to do with the quality of the food or people.
