We have been here two times and we have got to say we love the place. There is a good size car park and outside there is a children's outdoor play/park zone. Inside the pub it's split into different rooms, there is a indoor soft playzone with a counter selling sweets & drinks etc. There is also seating in there with tables so you can eat in there if it suits you better than going into the main restaurant & bar. This is great especially as you can keep an eye on the kids. In the main restaurant there is a good amount of seating & tables. The bar has lots of choice of drinks including a coffee machine & syrups etc. The menu has a good choice from pub classics to steaks & burgers in fact the T Bone steak is fantastic. The kids meals also have a good variety of choices. The food we have had on both occasions has been really good quality and the service 5*. In fact we loved it that much we have booked our daughters 2nd birthday there. �
Had a fab overnight stay in July for Coldplay gig in Cardiff. The place is a hidden gem. The staff were all absolutely lovely and very welcoming. They even went the extra mile and drove us to the train station when our taxi got delayed. Had a lovely home cooked meal on arrival and a few drinks in the lovely bar. The rooms were clean and the beds were the comfiest I've ever slept in away from home. The place had a lovely atmosphere and everyone was super friendly. Would defo go back and stay there again without doubt. Thanks for a wonderful stay

My partner booked a meal and a room for us for valentines night as a suprise for me. The meal was lovely, the staff was also lovely and nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was also lovely, it was nice to wake up to a cooked breakfast and flowers.. i must say everything was amazing and we are looking forward to going back..
We stayed at the Three Horseshoes Country Inn many times over the summer for work and we were always welcomed and always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are all really nice in our experience, having stayed in several different rooms over the course of the summer. Very comfortable beds, nicely decorated and furnished rooms, peaceful location, we slept very well. We would often arrive after dinner service but they were always very accommodating and would rustle us something up or would take an order phoned through on our journey over from Barry. The location is perfect for getting into Barry, ideally close and also lovely to be in the countryside. The staff were always great, particularly one young gentleman who I wish I could recall his name; he went above and beyond in customer service. The pub is a nice space to be, both inside and outside in the garden. A relaxing atmosphere. All in all highly recommended as a place to stay.
The guy at the bar booked me in no problem and escorted me to my room, which was clean and cosy. The bar restaurant was beautiful, so if you wanted a night away with a loved one, this would be the place. The food was amazing, I had the sirloin stake, which was cooked just how I like it. The food is locally sourced, and you can tell. I would return.
Very comfortable accommodation. Clean and tidy everywhere. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Good choice of food and drink. Highly recommend.

Had a great overnight stay at the Three Horseshoes Country Pub. The rooms were very nice and en-suite was even better. The breakfast was 6 star it was amazing, cereals, yogurts fruit, juices they missed nothing out. Full Welsh breakfast was most enjoyable. Brilliant chef. Will visit again because they made you feel welcome. All the staff were friendly. Amazing place.
I booked a kids party here for yesterday. I had basic package and decorated room and bought sweet and party bags with me. We had a great time. Staff were friendly and helpful. They seemed to be doing a lot so more staff would have been helpful just maybe to cover the party when the pub actually opened at 12. We had to wait to be served at bar on occasions which wasn't the staff fault they were working hard and were going as fast as they could. Thankyou Three Horseshoes for a lovely couple of hours for my son's party.
Travelled from Newcastle with husband and 5 children for Harry Styles gig. Great pub and restaurant. Lovely food. Fabulous indoor and outdoor play areas. Welcoming, friendly hosts. Clean rooms ☺
What a pub!
1) They brew their own beers, not available elsewhere, all of which are fantastic! Even better than you can do 'beer tapas' and try 3 different ones 😀
2) They have a big indoor soft play for the kids which can accomodate up to 40 kids! Clean and well maintained.
3) The food was great - I had the special persian lamb curry
4) Great service with a smile in a clean and comfortable setting
5) Reasonably priced
6) There looked to be a decent outdoor play area and plenty of outside seating too - not that we did that.
Was out travelling in the lovely bout of summer weather we were having and decided it would be nice to have a ice glass of wine but we had our 5 year old daughter who is hard to entertain after a little Google search by chance I stumbled on this country pub not knowing what to expect just read child friendly so headed straight here! WOW best family pub in South Wales there wasn't just one play area my daughter had the choice of 3 outdoor play areas to enjoy and an indoor soft play! She was loving her little life the food was lovely I highly recommend the ploughman's platter it went well with a wine 🍷

Can't go wrong here, prices are decent, kids love it, good park outside and grab soft play inside. The actual pub area is really nice for adults too!
15 of us went for a birthday meal. Food all came out at the same time. Cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Good choice on menu catered for everybody. Lovely waitress served us nothing to much trouble. Great soft play next door for the kids. Pods outside to have a drink in the summer. Definitely one to visit again.
Great country pub, stopped off when doing the Gavin & Stacey tour. It was lovely pit stop for the 30 mins & enjoy strongbow cider, which I never had before. Anyways I enjoyed it & lovely scenery and we saw a few horses as well, which was great.
