My FAVOURITE place. I found it when I started maternity leave and was looking for somewhere that served good strong coffee in a relaxed atmosphere where I could come with the baby. I love the breakfast menu and am excited to see they have recently extended it. Also have a really great cocktail selection in the evenings. Such a welcome addition to Barry. 👍

Staff are lovely always chatty and friendly.
The decor is to be admired, I always say if I was going to open a coffee shop i'd like it just like this one. and I'm sure the big 'A' light was put in just for me :)

Love the look of the place so it’s my first place for coffee when I’m in Barry.
I loved this place. The decor, the atmosphere, the food & beverage choice and the fact that there's entertainment for the little ones (colouring books & games). The only negative was the advertisement of what they had to offer. After we ordered milkshakes we saw them making 'freak milkshakes' for other guests, had we known they made these we would have ordered them. So that was a little disappointing but overall the place is great and I'll definitely be going back.
A lovely evening, great event with the tacos too. Great staff and the best cocktails.

It serves the BEST coffee I've ever tasted and don't get me started on the milkshakes & frappes - they are insane!
Loads of lovely nice touches including complimentary fruit infused water.
The decor is spot on and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere and vibe to it.
The customer service & attention to detail by the staff is impeccable - the staff could not want to help you any more.
Food wise the bacon rolls are to die for as are most of the things on their menu (I just order that the most!)
They have a great selection of beers and spirits (including some rare gins that I love!) and it has a great atmosphere in the evenings too.
It is simply a fabulous place to go for coffee/lunch or a drink in the evenings on the weekend.

Food was lovely, not a lot of options but what we had was good. It's easier to order at the bar than on the app though. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bench seating was good and it's got a nice atmosphere! It has a small car park which is free. Don't forget to enter your car reg!

Great atmosphere for a coffee and cake stop.
All back to normal now (post pandemic), which is nice. Digital ordering from tables has been retained, which can be quite handy, in addition to usual counter service.
Coffee's still really good, and cake selection always a joy. Folks always friendly and live up to their team slogan "Work hard and be nice to people".
Dog friendly, and puppuccinos often offered :)
Don't forget to enter car registration on entry if parking on site; clears you for 3 hours free parking.
The place is modern and very good positioned in the city with plenty of parking space. Looks clean and safe and rules for Covid-19 in place. Not too many options to eat just sandwiches and crisps or cookies but all looking fresh. A bit pricey as per location but worth the effort as the atmosphere is pleasant. You serving yourself and that’s reduce the contract with too many people. Recommend the experience.

Really great coffee shop and bar. Also the street food vendors that are there from time to time are excellent.
Academy is really lively, and has lots of events - the open mic and quiz nights are particularly good. There is a nice outdoor space when it's sunny, and inside is a lovely, open, modern space.

Love this place, great for meeting up with friends in the evenings for cocktails, lots or entertainment and unique food trucks, during the weekdays you can pop in and have a coffee, slice of cake and dogs are welcome too. Staff are always really friendly and welcoming.
