A lovely little restaurant. I went there last when the previous owner were there so cannot comment on whether there has been an changes since. The food, which is locally sourced, tastes amazing and you get to cook it on the stone to your own liking. I have only tried the steaks, I have yet to try the tapas menu. The desserts were amazing. I look forward to returning there in the future.

The staff are really nice and helpful. The food was awesome and served in such an amazing way. Cooking on a stone is an excellent idea. There were 20 of us including vegetarians and we all loved our food.

July 2019 - Great little place. Good food and great service. Went for a birthday celebration on a Thursday. The Thursday steak deal was great £15 for a huge steak ( Raw steak brought on a red hot stone slab, sizzling away. Then cook it yourself the way you like it) Came with real chips ( not the frozen French Fries but real potatoes ) toms and mushrooms with a choice of sauces. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Had a beautiful steak at Cariad just yesterday. Huge, tasty fillet served on a hot stone... it was amazing! Also came with HOMEMADE chips which were also amazing! All the staff were really helpful and friendly, great customer service. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful interior, excellent service, very friendly staff- highly recommend- we had 3 tapas dishes - king prawns scallops and garlic mushrooms and garlic bread to start followed by the fillet steak on a hot stone, which was a fair size and well priced. Finished off with salted caramel cheese cake and cream. The drinks were flowing - loved my Espresso Martini. All in all we had a wonderful night and were well looked after- we cannot wait to return. Make sure you plan & book as this place is extremely popular.

My first time in a tapas bar and wasn't too familiar with the food portions, but I should've realised from the prices of the dishes. Consequently I didn't really order sufficient as it was a late lunch and I was pretty hungry. However the food was very tasty, and I'd go back there. I felt the toilets could have been kept much cleaner,as the standard of the bar was really good, but I also expect the other facilities to be if a high standard too.

Great atmosphere and service, a gem. The dinner menu focuses on tapas and meat (and fish) cooked on a stone. We both had the stone cooked stuff. He had venison and I had beef and a prawn skewer. Very tender meat and nice sides. They also offer vegetarian options. Recommended

For my birthday, my daughter arranged a lunchtime meal here - for a party of 10 (8 adults with two under 5's) The staff welcomed us on arrival and couldn't do enough for us. The meal was sublime - cooking your steak on your own hot stone was a new experience and certainly I will be back again. This is a super-friendly little place to eat in Barry and well worth a visit
