We came here as part of a group tour and the food was very generous is size and tasty. The sticky toffee pudding was very light in texture and delicious. The cider we had was very refreshing and easy to drink.
Fantastic visit to Cwm Talwg this evening, from the moment we entered till the moment we left the service was fantastic! All the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, great knowledge of the food and drinks menu too and table service (which seems to be very rare these days).

Excellent service from start to finish. Despite the pub being fairly busy, the staff were attentive and courteous. Did not wait long for food and as always was cooked to a high standard. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming team and wonderful people!!

Food is always lovely. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Aways a good visit! The one thing I was a little disappointed with was that I asked if a bottle of wine and a little note could be left on the table for when we arrived as it was a Birthday celebration. This wasnt done and no message/call
As soon as we arrived we were greeted and shown respect the staff could not do enough for us. KAT, Zara, Tom, Josh & Luke made sure our meal was enjoyed with the food being an excellent standard. Would recommend to everyone to visit this friendly professional establishment.
Joe was very helpful and a great host. He was clear with items unavailable so we could look at the menu and know what we wanted would be available. He kept the drinks topped up and noticed when we were coming to the bottom and needed a refill. Even though 2 big parties were in or due in we did not

We went for my husband’s birthday. We usually go for celebrations as we know we will always be looked after and get good food. The staff are always so lovely and can’t do enough for you.
I made a booking online and although the mistake of not having a table at first the staff were quick to sort the issues! The staff who were helping were polite and amazing considering there was a 90th the other above but thank you to you guys for beginning my daughters 16th celebrations and making a

Dog friendly as well which is why we chose to go there on this occasion, will happily go back.
"Gastro Pubs" have a lot to learn from the Cwm Talwg.
Superb food! Chips that you could actually crunch and weren't dripping in oil, very obvious that pride is taken in what is being cooked obviously using fresh oil and it being at the correct temperature!! I know as I come from a family of Chefs!

Service Staff were incredibly Kind and attentive, the food was great and well portioned and the deserts were delicious. Being one of the few pubs that still sells Brains on draft it was lovely and refreshing.

Cool corner eating out of the extremely hot sun - excellent service and excellent food to. I tried the Vegetable Chilli which was amazing. All visitors catered for including my sister who has Dementia but was treated really kindly.

Lovely food, great atmosphere and the service is amazing, hats off to Martin who's always friendly and goes out his way to make you feel welcome as do the rest of the staff, will be coming back again and again.
