Did I like it, no, I LOVED it!! The owners and staff are fab, the food is delicious and comes with a lovely explanation of each dish when it arrives. The atmosphere and decor is great and also brilliant value for all the super food you are treated to! Highly recommended and we will be back!
We had a fantastic evening last night at Dougies. The food was superb. Service was excellent and the whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable. Great birthday meal for our daughter and the final touch at the end with the sparkler and personal birthday message on her plate finished the evening off nicely. Highly recommended.
Myself and my girlfriend went for the Friday night Bistro with a set course meal.
In all honesty it was truly outstanding, really genuinely incredible food. The chef is an exceptional talent and has been honing his craft very well there. I would highly recommend trying to book in for this Friday night occasion.
The staff are incredibly passionate and lovely and you get a real sense that they care for you and your experience dining there.
During the day as a cafe I've only been once a few years ago and it had a great atmosphere. I'm sure they deliver the same level of excellence.
This was our first visit and was recommended to us . We shall definitely be returning as the food was exceptional . The service was excellent and it didn't just feel like a meal out , it felt special. We had the 8 course set menu and every course was beautifully presented with a real attention to detail including the ingredients used and flavours . The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and at the end of the evening the chef came into the dining area to introduce himself and check that everyone enjoyed the food which we thought was a nice and very professional touch .
Visited 28 Jan, would have taken pictures but the food was just too yummy to not eat straight away! We had the wine match complementing the menu, would recommend. Would deffo visit again. A unique style service and menu for the area.
