Great place for a beer, the landlord and staff are very friendly, not sure if the landlord is the king of piel, I forgot to ask, 6 quid return to get there on the ferry, spend 15 and visit the seal colony. I would definitely go again!
Fantastic experience walking across from Walney when the tide went out. Wellies definitely recommended for the walk rather than walking boots as the first few minutes of the walk is very sludgy and boggy. We managed to catch the pub's first day reopening for the 2023 season. Surprisingly busy with the nearby ferry services also restarting on the same day. Lovely old pub and a great experience with it being so remote. Friendly landlord & landlady. Prices around 10 quid for a couple of drinks and a good selection of beers, shorts etc. Shame the fire/stove wasn't on, it did make the place feel very cold, and lighting the fire would have kept people staying longer I think. Great experience overall.

This pub is an absolute gem on the island of Piel, the king of the Island pulled my pint
The place is an old-fashioned gem. Many tourists use this pub, and its hand pumped ale was grand tasting
When in Barrow, a must to come across the water to and visit
After a day's sailing it's a great little pub to relax at. It was a shame there was no food available but the bar snacks and chocolate were appreciated. It was very busy when we went but you always felt welcome and not overwhelmed.
A one off experience for the bucket list. Would maybe struggle to justify if in the high street, but as it's on its own island...go for it!
Although The Ship doesn't look very glamorous the landlords were very friendly & the food was top notch. Delicious fish & chips & mussels & the best veggie breakfast I've ever had.
Magical little pub on a magical little island..pub shuts for winter but what a place to go in the summer..camp or stay in the ship inn..ideal adventure for kids and grown ups alike..
Had a great time camping here overnight! A tiny island with a ruined castle. Didn't see anybody all evening after the last ferry left as I explored the castle, beaches and pathways of the island.
So peaceful and tranquil beautiful place well worth a visit
The whole reason we stayed in barrow in furness. Quirky pub wide selection of drinks and snacks. Food is not currently being served.
