Drove past just as it was getting dark and the smell filled up my helmet. I had to turn around and get something. Upon arriving they said they were about to shut the door but still served us with a smile anyways. Food was very nice (especially the battered sausage) and they even let me use the rest
Delicious gluten free sausage and chips, the best I've had in a while, shame we live 65 miles away but surely will think of an excuse to visit again! Lovely service, friendly staff! Even gave water to our dog! Thank you :)

Great food just a shame some things was missing off the order when we opened to eat .... we ordered over the phone in advance to collect 4 different orders but the ladies did still get a bit mixed up but overall food was good . Salt and pepper chips are tasty 👌

Went today whilst in area from Derbyshire. After watching good review from Gareth the baldy review man on u tube & did not dissapoint . Parked over road in conservative club car park .. fresh cooked haddock & chips . Crispy batter lovely white fish & good value .. really enjoyed it
Been going to the smithy since moving to Walney and not had a bad meal yet. Fish and chips are always fresh and everything you want from a traditional fish and chip shop. Staff are always happy, cheerful and cater to anyones dietary needs.
Just had fish and chips from here for the first time in ages as last time we were disappointed as the chips were anaemic and scrappy. Not tonight. They were lovely chunky golden chips and the fish was delicious and white and flaky. We will definitely be back.
Perfect gluten free fish and chips. Haven't had a bad experience so far and I am highly confident that they won't disappoint if you decide to order from them. Everything is packed in cardboard except for the mushy peas which come in a polystyrene pot. Other than that. Completely satisfied with the
