I booked here for one night in a single room. The room was comfortable enough, with a decent shower and good wifi. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, plus fresh towels. The room was really clean. On the down side there was music from the pub downstairs and you can hear cars passing on the road outside (neither was a problem for me). The switch on the bedside lamp was broken, and the main room light was very dim.
A clean, tidy, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel, close to the town centre. The staff were very friendly.
What's not to like.....

Looking at outside with the scaffolding up expected the worst, on entering bar was pleasantly surprised, nice decor , nice bar staff , pool table , juke box..ok 👌 onto the room nice clean , toilet and shower was adequate, there is parking right next to the bar ,would recommend this to anyone
Great hosts; very welcoming, attentive and friendly. A lovely Inn to use as a home base whilst exploring the Lake District, and you get to come back to some nice evenings while sharing a couple of drinks with the locals. Highly recommended!
Stayed here a few times on business trips and it’s a pleasure to be there. Rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable. Food is great and a fine selection of beverages to choose from, all at a nice price. The people who run this establishment are brilliant hosts. Would recommend.
Very nice food served with a smile. The drinks are reasonable, too. Great value all round and highly recommended, as you don't need to book a table in advance.
A lovely small pub in Barrow in Furness with a modest menu, but very good quality and very good value. There are TV's showing the main sport of the day. The atmosphere is nice and the staff a very helpful. It has parking just to the side of the inn which holds 10 cars or so.
One of the best pubs in barrow! Serves good food, good drink and has a very welcoming atmosphere.
Entertainment is on of a weekend, pub games through the week & fantastic landlords ... Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

What an excellent place to visit. We received a warm welcome by the landlady and the staff were friendly too. Great beer garden too. Looking forward to going back again soon
Visited for Sunday lunch. It was a bit late and there was only turkey left so 4 of us had turkey and two of us went for the gammon. All of the meals were fabulous. It was well worth a visit. There was olny one down point. There was no stuffing with the turkey.
I would defenately recomend it and will be coming here more often.
Had the lamb Henry roast dinner. Was absolutely gorgeous. Also had the chocolate n orange cheesecake which was to die for. Good value for money would definitely go again
Lovely atmosphere, great service and a really good pool table but most important the best Guinness in Cumbria!
I always have a fabulous time here. Today I had the roast dinner for the first time and it was delicious, I will 100% be returning
