We've stayed at this good value hotel 3 times now. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are nice with very comfy beds and good showers. The breakfast (included) is excellent. Never eaten dinner here as we always arrive quite late but the beer is good. We'll be back.
Stayed for 2 nights, we were in the annexe and the rooms were lovely. Exposed brick and original beams. We had trouble with a velux roof blind not closing on the first night which led to an early morning wake up at dawn due to the light. John on reception moved us into the next door room and for ou
I stay in this hotel at least once a year. I keep coming back because it ticks all my boxes. Great prices, the food is really good, the range of beers is top drawer. EV charging close by on Emlyn Street.
Lovely room, spacious. Heating can have mind of it own. Shower facilities are good, good access. Lift also for access in the hall. Food catering. Can be a bit of noise form the road depending on where you room is. All round good though, beds 4 outa 5. 'Comfy n soft'
Large room and bathroom with pretty good fittings, although the TV is small and old and really needs updating. Nice building and bar, didn't try the food or breakfast, but the location is good for the centre of Barrow.
Easy to find, parking was over the road but that's fine. The room was very nice and the service we received was amazing. We stayed here for NYE and to celebrate a recent engagement. The meals we had in the restaurant were excellent. Would highly recommend!
The staff were super friendly and I just love the vintage style with the William Morris wallpaper it really works giving it a very 1910s vibe! Just wish the heating was better, it was freezing on the top floor!
Lovely hotel, staff very pleasant. Rooms are very nice, warm and cozy. Car park is across the road but manageable.
I always enjoy coming here for a drink or some food. Service is great with a good selection of beers on tap which sets it aside from most other places in Barrow. Food is also excellent and I've only ever had pleasant experiences. If you're travelling, it's also very close to the train station for y
The food was really good! The portion sizes are great too. We had steaks and they were cooked really well and the garlic sauce was amazing. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Very good hotel, friendly and polite staff, excellent food. Room was fairly large with a small en suite bathroom. Quiet room most of the time. For a “visit to attend work” hotel is very good. 😊
I would definitely recommend this hotel... brilliant, they couldn't do enough for you...the room was spotless and the food was perfect.
Room was clean but a bit cold. The bar is great and very popular by the look of it. Food: very average. Waiting time could be better. Very good location, close to shops and city centre. Free car park for the guests.
We were recommended to visit and were not disappointed. Chicken was delicious and tender and the ambience of the pub was superb. Staff attentive and friendly.
Good bar and typical modern bar menu. Great selection of tap beers. Novel and effective fixed buzzer for table service. The room had a Nice decor, but nothing special for the price. The bathroom floor needs repair in room 220. Only 1 window opens, if you can call 2 inch gap open. The hot water ta
Usual high standards and friendly service I have come to expect. Always book direct to be benefit from a free breakfast and best rates.
We stayed recently for 2 nights as part of a research trip. The hotel is a very nicely presented establishment with historical features and provenance to match. The room was a generous size with everything we needed and despite overlooking the main road, was very quiet (2nd floor). We also took adva
