The staff are fantastic here. And the food well you get a big portion And it is fantastic. Would well recommend this place any day

Me & my husband came today for our lunch, he had the beef & onion baguette with chips and i had the lasagne with garlic bread and a portion of the salt & pepper chips �.
Food was gorgeous, couldn't fault it one bit.
Friendly service.
Can't believe this was my first visit but definitely won't be my last.

We came to the crown this evening after a slight blip with the sauce on my stir fry the chef mike personal popped down to bring me my food, I don’t like making a fuss but I’m not a fan of Cajun spice but we are so happy with the food and service we received and the staff are lovely and the food was seriously amazing, this is our first visit and we will definitely be coming back

Cheesed off chicken is so nice . Love the crown food and all the staff are really polite. Who ever you have as chefs please don’t lose them .
Went to celebrate a birthday 3 had roast 1 had steak bagget i had salmon with prawns 🍤 absoloutley beautiful great waitresses really friendly and doing great job in the rush all meals excellent Eton mess to finish just finished nicely

Fabulous food and fabulous service! Stir fries and salt & pepper chips are the best I've tasted!
Had the falafel and spinach burger which was great and a very generous portion with two patties in the burger!
Lots of vegetarian friendly options and quality of food is good.
The Thai curry is also good, but no sure why it comes with a poppadom?!
Would recommend this pub, especially with the free parking.
Excellent pub and restaurant serving a varied menu and good selection of drinks. Visited as a party of 9 for food on a Saturday night. Seated quickly and served in good time. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. We were well looked after by staff and I highly recommend a visit here. Limited parking is available and the outdoor area is fantastic in the summer.

Eine Woche zuvor wurde meine Kollegen und ich erst in einem anderem Englischen Restaurant bitter enttäuscht.
Voreingenommen sind wir in das Restaurant The Crown gegangen. Innerhalb von nur 2 Minuten wurd mir klar, das Restaurant wird ein Brett. Das Ambiente ist schön warm eingerichtet und man fühlt sich in der Atmosphäre einfach gut.
Ich konnte es überhaupt nicht abwarten endlich mein Essen zu bestellen.
Und was soll ich sage? Schaut euch die Bilder an. Der Burger war einfach eine Klasse für sich. Das Baguette als Vorspeise war richtig lecker und mit viel Käse belegt.
Die Bedienung war immer freundlich und hat jeden Spaß mitgemacht .

A week earlier, my colleagues and I were bitterly disappointed in another English restaurant.
We went to The Crown restaurant with prejudice. Within just 2 minutes it became clear to me that the restaurant was going to collapse. The ambience is beautifully warm and you just feel good in the atmosphere.
I couldn't wait to finally order my food.
And what can I say? Look at the pictures. The burger was simply in a class of its own. The baguette as a starter was really tasty and topped with lots of cheese.
The service was always friendly and made everyone have fun.

Couldn’t get a table on the night of our arrival, which is usually a good sign, but we got a table the next night.
My lasagne was good, and my partner enjoyed her sweet and sour stir fry.
The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars across the board was because our table felt cramped and the service could have been a bit more friendly, but we’ll worth a visit for the food.
Great place for a quick lunch and a drink, or evening meal and a catch up. Caters for all and staff are excellent and friendly. Accommodates dogs both inside next to the bar and in the amazing outdoor garden where you can eat as well. There is a section inside where dogs aren’t allowed if that suits you too! Highly recommend booking a couple days in advance however as they book up very quickly due to popularity with locals!!
Authentic pub with not only pub food. Try their sizzling signature dish Stir Fry - it's available in all kinds of different flavours. Recommended to make a reservation because it is often quite booked and sometimes closed for no obvious reasons.
I have not had anything to eat yet. Just had a few beers, but I checked the menu out and will try the food next. The food has had some good press, so I will be back. It got a bit of cosiness to this place with an open fire. You can watch football on very big tvs if that floats your boat
Great food and service. Not cheap though. Lunch time after 12 got busy with walk ins but the kitchen and staff coped well. Every meal that I saw served up to others as well as my group looked very desirable. Recommended.
Great out door space. If you want to sit inside you will need a booking. The place is packed all the time. The food and drink are great.
By far one of the best pubs I've been too and I'm ashamed to say the first time I've ever been although I've lived in the town all my life!
Food is top notch, it makes others around Barrow look 2nd rate.
Staff are beyond 5* ... kind, helpful and nothing is too much! Went out of their way to make my son smile and enjoy his visit.
Clean....tidy.....fantastic surroundings, nice beer garden...

You will not be disappointed here. Great food, always busy, make sure to book. I had a 60th dinner here with 14 guests, and it was fab.
Lovely evening spent with family celebrating a birthday. Lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings. My King Prawn stir-fry was delicious and was served on a sizzling slate.
Absolutely stunning 2 course meal on special offer. There was a group of 8 of us and we were served very quickly. The roast was stunning and the Eton mess dessert was so tasty. Fast friendly service throughout.

Really nice, called on a Wednesday dinner time and it was quite busy which is a good sign. Ordered sandwiches and soup with a side of chips all of it was really nice. I don't like door stop size sandwiches which these were but the bread was that soft it was gorgeous. Good service and nice surroundings really good. Two sandwich meals one soup four coffees and chips £24. Also one side of the pub is dog friendly

This is a great real ale pub and eatery on the Island of Walney in Cumbria
This pub has a real authentic feeling to it both inside and outdoors today. It has got on 3 Robinsons ales on handpumped all well looked after by the owner and her staff on duty.
This pub is also an established restaurant serving good, well prepared, homemade food, which plenty of the local following were tucking into
Another great positive is the large secluded peacefull Bear garden at the back of this charming pub
Brilliant food freindly and most pleasant staff we have come across .Great selection on menu and check the specials board .Food was piping hot and good sized portions a must place to eat if your in the area.
Fantastic service and fantastic food as aways. Love going to the crown. Best restaurant in the area by far. The staff looked after us all night and the newly refurbished restaurant is of a high standard. Well done the crown and staff 5 stars and well deserved
