It's been a while since my last visit but it was so nice to see the Barrasford Arms is still an oasis of sanity in our increasingly mad world. I can't speak for the rooms, I just had dinner with a friend. But we got good beer, good food, great service and a wonderful countryside ambience. What's not
Me and a group of friends stayed there for one night during our Hadrian's Wall hike. It is about 2 km away from the Wall, but it was worth it. Very friendly staff, cold drinks and a lovely outdoor area to enjoy them. Dinner was good, breakfast was excellent and our packed lunch too. Rooms were fine,
We went to this restaurant twice and were very impressed. We had the steak (cooked just right), Sausage and mash, and fish and chips. Food was delicious and extra level tasty. Staff really friendly and accomodating our small baby
Beautiful rooms with lovely views. Our room was lovely and warm too despite the weather outside being a bit damp. Nice walks in the area and a beautiful part of the world. Staff where really friendly and helpful and the food there was amazing we would definitely love to come back soon!

Would be 5 star if a wider choice of real ale. There was only one which was OK.
A little off the beaten track, but the Barrasford Arms impressed me with their service and meals. Perfect place to end a day of hiking and have a pint :)
Lovely friendly staff. Wonderful Dinner, best deep fried fish my hubby has ever had anywhere! Excellent steak. Cracking crumble and ice cream to finish. Lovely atmosphere, warm and welcoming.
Very quiet. Nice people. Good food. There are stairs to every room and there are rooms on several floors.
Really good and nice service! Comfy beds as well as a cozy bar and restaurant.
