We finished here after a long charity walk last Saturday... enjoyed my mac and cheese so much that I brought the family back the next day and found that the roasts were even better than the main menu.

This place had one of the best meals we had on holiday. All food was delicious and I especially enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. Would recommend this place if you’re up for a lovely meal and atmosphere !

You can’t go far wrong with a vintage inn, you know what you’re getting: great home cooked food in good surroundings. Service friendly as always! Choose this on a sunny day for beautiful views and walks- which is useful if you’ve over indulged with one of their puddings! 😝❤️

It was the best restaurant that we have been too in the surrounding area. We both ordered the pork belly roast. It was up there with the best roast we have had. Everything was perfect, the service was amazing, the amount of food was perfect too! It is at an amazing location with breath taking views and there is a lovely walk along the seafront on a paved surface just a stone through away. Anyways, the pork belly was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The veg and Yorkshire were perfect too. So tasty! The gravy was rich and was delicious. The only thing that I would say is that it would be nice if the potatoes were crispy, but my husband loved them as they are. We were left so satisfied and the rest of the menu looks great too! So we will definitely be back.

Overall Great. Didn't sit outside as cushions were a bit stained and chairs a bit rickety. Inside was nice though and the lovely lady that served us was brill. Calamari starters and the Passion fruit cocktails were great. Out of our four meals, three were good, one was just okay, a miniscule amount of bacon and cheese on the Hunters Chicken schnitzel ruined it for me. Pizza was the best one out of all of them, cooked perfectly to my husband's liking as requested. Nice atmosphere and beautiful setting.

The food is beautiful, the location is stunning - the only thing letting this place down is how it is the service, I find it to be slow. My partner waited at the bar for 20 minutes while a member of staff tried to add a deposit onto the till, bringing to light that there was not a manager there or another member of staff who could help. The server was absolutely fantastic but obviously needed someone more senior there. Little things like this happen on numerous occasions meaning service is slow. However, the food, scenery, atmosphere and building are beautiful.

Big family get together for Sunday lunch. Food was great everyone had a great main and delicious dessert. Service was a bit slow between mains and dessert but it didn't really matter to us as we had a good time chatting. The toilets are all the way upstairs but worth it for the view see photo. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor though. Probably a little bit more expensive than some places but definitely worth for an occasion like this one. 10% service charge is added for groups of 8 or more so my price per person includes that.

Stopped for lunch here last year whilst on holiday and had a great burger. We visited again this year for an evening meal and once again didn't disappoint. I went for the sirloin steak, and it was cooked perfectly, and so were the triple cooked chips.. and that onion ring nest 👌.The young lady who served us was very polite and friendly, just a shame the barman appeared a little off and grumpy... maybe having a bad day. We sat inside, which is very nice, but there are plenty of outdoor seats with views down to the estuary. Dog friendly. See you again in 2024.

We booked for lunch at short notice and we are so pleased that we did. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant area was pleasant and spacious. The menu had sufficient choices and covered varying tastes. We went for a 3 course meal and each dish was cooked to a high standard with , in my opinion, the dessert being up there with the best I have ever had. I would recommend the The Honey Pot to anybody with a sweet tooth. If we are ever in the area again we will be returning

This is a very nice place to have a nice meal or just a drink, very nice inside or outside, great scenic view, the food is very nice at a reasonable price and has a large carpark, worth a visit if you are near Barnstaple Devon.
