Very good fish and chips. Top peas and curry sauce. Opposite a spar for other things. Well priced. Great portion size. Cooked fresh. Does close at 7.30pm on some nights.

We used Whiddon valley for our meal the night before our wedding. The fish was cooked perfectly. And we are still getting compliments saying it was the best fist & chips people have ever had. Highly, highly, recommend.

Great food options and the staff are friendly and helpful. The portion sizes have considerably increased making it well worth the money so that's a great thing. The chips are cooked well and for a proper traditional fish and chips I recommend this place. Not only that they have a van which goes out around the small villages offering takeaway to the locals

Nice and clean with polite staff. Stopped off to get some food while working in the area. Prices higher than I'm used to but I'm from the Midlands so might be a regional price thing. Servings a little smaller but it was all very tasty so well worth it. I don't mind paying more if the food is right. Would use again.

First time back in over 8 years. We've been away. Fish is as it was then. Excellent. Far and away the best fish anywhere around here.
I hope the van fish is as good 'cos we live near High Bickington and it's a long way to Whiddon Valley from there. I'll be trying the van soon.

Freshly cooked almost to order. Was busy but the service was fast and freindly. The burger was great, chip portion was generous and the cod was very tasty.

We hired the whiddon Valley fryer for our wedding at the end of August. The service and food was fantastic. The guests really enjoyed the food and it was well priced as well.
I would thoroughly recommend them.

Already said the new look has made there food even better and had 3 meals now all to the same high standards which is a blessing as it's my closest fish and chip shop .. top service every time I've been in ... The fish and pie were very good but it was spoilt by all the chips being luke warm. Shame as I was looking forward to buying gluten free fish and chips when our friends visit but after today I wouldn't risk it. I have had meals there before and most of the time very good but this is the second time we have been really disappointed and when you are spend over £20 you don't want to have to throw a lot of it away

Took ages to cook. Battered sausage was uncooked. Breaded mushrooms were a mess. Curry sauce watery and on the verge of cold. Worst of all is I messaged them to let them know of my disappointment and the replies were awful. Making me out to be lying, claiming nothing could be their fault and saying 'if you were not happy with our products perhaps we're not the fish and chip shop for you'
