Old Kitchen Tea Room - Barnstaple - Photo album

Arlington Court is one of our favourite places to visit for a nice walk that isn't too long (or muddy) and that has a lovely tea room at the end for some well earned tea and cake. Arlington hits the spot on all of these criteria! The walks are on good paths and tracks that are well maintained (Nat
Visited this lovely property during the fantastic sunny October weather and highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful with lots to see and a lot of green space for my 2yo to have a run round. She particularly loved the scarecrow festival and using the hobby horses outside of the carriage museum a
Beautiful place with amazing history! The grounds are stunning ti walk around and they have some brilliant trails that you can follow. The carriage museum is amazing to see so many old and restored carriages from over the country. Arlington court itself is stunning and very grand with good history.
The house is not big, but it's nice, we really had a lovely day the only draw back is that we had to pay for a parking ticket £4 for 3 hours. There is a nice tea room, you can side outside if you like, wide selection of light meals, drinks, cakes and fruits we had tea for 2 with cakes. Disabled park
Each and every one of the staff were so pleasant and helpful. I have never experienced such courtesy or felt so welcome. The house and carriage museum was very informative all set in lovely grounds. Great little cafe. I was also able to hire a disability scooter for just £3... Definitely worth a vis
This place has the National Trust's carriage collection and there are plenty of walks round the estate.....so great place to take a dog...obviously no animals in the house but they didn't seem to mind in the cafe. If you like model sailing ships in glass cases this place is a must.
I ended up spending much more time here than I expected. Start with a cuppa and slice of cake in the Old Kitchen Café to energize you for one of walks around the grounds. They range from a mile and half jaunt around the lake to much longer treks through the extensive estate. There's a lot to see and
Arlington court has a lot to offer from the museum to it's house to the cafe to the acres of woodland and footpaths to explore it really has something for everyone The cafe is small and gets busy quickly - seating inside the main cafe, an old stable next door and outside seating Gardens and land i
Beautiful national trust stately home! Around a 10-15 minute ride from Combe Martin. There is a nice cafe, on site toilets and a small gift shop where you get tickets near the car park. There is also a lakeside walk and a private garden. The only disappointment was that the stately home had quite a
Lovely place with a relaxed atmosphere. The house is relatively small. the Tea-room and the outside sitting-space is very nice. Carriage Museum (also on-site) is interesting. Close by St Jame‘s Church is nice to visit too.
